We loved staying at the French Bay house, it was super comfortable, spacious and the location was perfect. Tim was a great host , we so enjoyed talking to him and enjoyed the delicious breakfast in the morning. We would highly recommend this BnB!

Jane was an exceptional host and a fantastic cook, breakfast was an absolute highlight closely behind the amazing view of Akaroa Harbour across to French Farm Bay from the dining room table. Eggs from Jane's chickens, stewed fruit and a fabulous cooked breakfast... no need for lunch!! The bird life in the garden (bellbirds spotted everywhere) was just magical.

It’s as described: fully self-contained; amazingly quiet and beautiful setting; comfortable and clean. Despite being ‘off-the- grid’, the bathroom was brilliant and I never had a problem with cell phone signal etc. Furnishings and fittings - including a robe that actually fit me - were pretty luxurious. The owner, Ken, went above and beyond to support my visit - including dropping me down to town one day. Town is a walkable 40-50mins - even at my plodding pace - but it’s up a very steep hill on the way back. It would be a walker’s paradise - if I was a walker - tracks off everywhere! Stars have to be seen to be believed.

Very scenic location above Akaroa and in bush. The tiny house was in great condition and well supplied with what we needed. Nice to meet the owners Ken and Jenn.

Very friendly hosts. Light-pollution free environment. Location was very private. Great natural views towards the bay and the sunset right out the window. Bed was comfortable. Free cookies were delicious. Torches were useful.

Sharron & Noel went that extra mile to make our holiday extra special. The historical home was set in romantic gardens - trees 160 years old - native birds. Loved sitting under the verander taking coffee with home baking. The breakfast was a dream berries, pastries and those amazing cooked breakfast. Our hosts had thought of everything to make our stay extra special.
