Located on two landscaped acres surrounded by mountains, farmlands and views to the peninsula, Te Mahuru Retreat is just a 5-minute drive to Whale Watch Kaikoura.

The retreat is very comfortable and our host was very welcoming. The location is away from the hustle and bustle of town. Grounds are lovely, breakfast was excellent and we truly enjoyed our stay.

Just 2 km from Kaikoura town centre, Brook House B&B & Cottages offers free continental breakfast with accommodation in the main house, while Brook cottages are two separate units.

This B&B was very comfortable, clean and cosy. Also felt really safe for a solo female traveller like me. The host was very friendly and gave me good travel recommendations.

Just 5 minutes’ walk from Kaikoura Beach, Nikau Lodge features a hot tub and a sunny terrace.

The room was perfect with a beautiful bay window to sit and enjoy the view. The home had an amazing garden full.of flowers. The owners were so friendly and we enjoyed a beautiful home cooked meal with other guests.

The house is in a quiet landscape with surrounding grassland with cows, sheep, rabbits. Aspects that really stand out include the views- the mountains behind the house, the sun rising over the ocean in front of the house, and the house itself, which is large, with an upstairs loft bedroom and very comfortable living room downstairs. Indigo has furnished and decorated it beautifully. We really enjoyed her friendly hospitality. Kaikoura is nearby with fine walks and restaurants.
