We arrived quite late from Auckland airport but Alan welcomed us warmly. The room was comfortable with coffee, tea and homemade cakes. Nice spacious room with a big bathroom, and a pretty balcony and terrace overlooking the pretty garden. The small town is a couple of minutes away with plenty of options to eat. We had a delicious home cooked breakfast with many options all of which were great. Alan gave us some very good tips for travelling and things to visit on our way up North.

We loved everything about Michelle’s Place. The location is beautiful and restful. The attention to detail inside and outside is perfect. The history of Michelle’s Place adds to its charm and makes sense of the extra touches in the rooms.

Julia is the most wonderful host. She made us feel incredibly welcome and nothing was too much trouble for her. The Columbus suite is spacious and very well appointed and has everything needed to ensure a really comfortable stay. We truly appreciated (and admired) Julia’s attention to detail - evidenced by the fantastic breakfasts she made for us each morning.

The location was absolute magical. The beds were all very comfortable and great that most had ensuite bathrooms. Clean and very well equipped. Good water activities. Rob was very friendly and helpful.
