This is an absolutely beautiful home, an incredible place to stay in a beautiful location. Stacey, our host was so attentive in messaging.before, and during our stay. The apartment is elegant, cosy and full of lovely touches. The pictures here on booking.con do not do justice to the wonderful decor and comfort of the place. The bed was extremely comfortable, our son slept on a put -up bed in the lounge, also very comfortable. We had everything we needed - fresh coffee, tea, utensils and equipment for breakfast. The bathroom was large, with an elegant free standing bath with shower. We stayed mid May, it was a little chilly out but lovely and warm inside with electric blankets on the bed and additional heaters available. There is a beautiful veranda overlooking the garden filled with fruits and trees and birds. Honestly I just wish we could have stayed longer!

Our stay was great. Julie was awesome and made us feel right at home. Our little cottage was super clean, and breakfast items were right in our room ready for the next morning. Highly recommend this cottage.

A great place, very peaceful. The grounds are beautiful. The unit is immaculately kept, very comfortable, and the hospitality was great. Home baked goodies, freshly squeezed orange juice from the orchard, and very generous hosts. Plus, a really gorgeous part of the country which is truly worth visiting! Although this site says there's no Wifi, in actual fact, there is. It can be a bit intermittent at times, but it's a small price to pay for the beauty of this location on the Whanganui River.

The breakfasts were very nice each morning and it was a real treat for me, as i didn't have to cook it. Andrew and Penny are lovely people, very knowledgeable on a lot of varied topics, great to listen to about all sorts of things. They went above and beyond expectations.

Lovely old world charm through out the house but with modern facilities too. We really enjoyed our stay. Was enough room for all or our family to be together.

It had a quirky, old fashioned but not dated feel with the decor and vibe. The property carried a lot of history which was really interesting and different to other hotels/hostels. The facilities were great and we were able to do our laundry for a very reasonable price and with ease as everything we needed was available (detergent, clothes line, pegs). Shared bathrooms were clean and there were plenty of them so we never had to wait to shower or use the loos. Nathan who checked us in was extremely friendly and helpful!
