My girlfriend and I had an incredible time at La Romantica. We got lucky and since it was during the week in mid-May, there were no other guests during our two nights and we had the place to ourselves. Top-notch service and accommodation from Harry who went out of his way to make sure we had a great time. He helped with travel recommendations, reserving the golf cart, booking an island-hopping tour, and even cooking us some of our meals! In the morning, cute wild animals come to the back deck and you can feed them scraps from your breakfast. The hot tub and back deck were fantastic, though watch out for mosquitos. A/C in the room worked great. It was really an unforgetable experience for us at La Romantica. Each day got more and more romantic...we couldn't believe it. La Romantica really lived up to the name and felt like a honeymoon. Isla Contadora is a magical place. Highly recommended.

This place was fantastic. The woman running it (Nicola) was so friendly & welcoming—she helped us set up a snorkeling trip and even took me to the local clinic when I got a bunch of sand in my eye and had to have it cleaned out (which was free!). The room was great-private patio, fridge & big bathroom with a huge shower that was always hot. Fresh breakfast every day (coffee, amazing fruit salad, toast & egg dish). We were there for the annual skydiving event & had friends staying other places—it sounds like we definitely had the best hotel experience.
