I have never experienced such kind helpful staff. Manuel goes above and beyond to help. When we arrived we were having contacting a airline to arrange a ticket refund- he could not have been more helpful and with success. Whilst in Panama we were subject to petty crime and Manuel contacted the Police and came with us to the station to make a statement . We had a bigger room . It was quiet, very clean with a comfortable bed and pillows. The WiFi worked well and the room had air-con. The kitchen was well equipt and we cooked a few meals. The staff will do your laundry on site for $6 a load. Excellent location- lots of shops ( food stores) and restaurants nearby. Via Argentina is a 10-15min walk. All in all we were so pleased that we chose Hostel IBRAIS - we came back for another stay! (Manuel stored our bags and had helped organise a San Blas tour)

Nice comfortable and clean air conditioned rooms. Relatively quiet location for being in city center. The pool is a bonus being hot and humid. Enjoyed the morning breakfast with the standard and two other options at a fair price. Surrounded with conveniences.

Many thanks to the whole family of landlords! A very friendly and enthusiastic family. The daughter can communicate in English and is available 24 hours. All requests were handled immediately and satisfactorily. The location is very good, within walking distance to the subway, park, many restaurants, supermarkets, and various stores. The whole street is a very elegant residential area, very quiet. Parking is convenient. There is a spacious backyard. The room, bed, bathroom, air conditioning, refrigerator, lighting, and soundproofing are all good. The communal kitchen is convenient and clean. I will stay here next time if I have a chance to come back Panama.

Lovely patio with pool. It was very helpful to have a mini fridge and microwave in the room. The room was very comfortable and had good lighting for reading.

I stayed here for about 3 weeks and it is by far my favorite place to stay in Central America. There's something really special about Panama House that attracts a different kind of traveler that you typically don't find at other hostels in the region -- more diversity in terms of age, nationality, race, and interests than what you'd find in other hostels. People make you feel welcomed. 1. The location is fabulous - 3 blocks from a subway station and close to lots of really good and affordable restaurants and supermarkets 2. The social area is a great place to hang out - there's a pool table, ping pong table, a garden with mangos that fall from the tree that you can eat, and lots of places to relax and meet people 3. A good place for digital nomads to work -- wifi was usually pretty good for Panama 4. There's a kitchen that is stocked with oil, tons of spices, and tons of pots and pans and dishes that are in really good condition - this is a kitchen that you want to cook in. 5. Showers have plenty of hot water 6. Rooms are comfortable and air-conditioned 6. Price is really good for what you get. 7. Quiet 8. Secure 9. Overall, a great vibe

The hotel room is more like a self service apartment. The room is very large and also has use of a kitchen and lounge with large screen TV shared with another room on the same floor. We never worked out how to get the TV to work but everything else was excellent. The hotel is in an excellent position in the centre of the old town surrounded by bars, restaurants and cultural sites. We used Uber drivers and they found the hotel easily. I imagine car rental is a nightmare due to lack of parking space and busy traffic around the old town. Air conditioning worked well.
