We enjoyed spending time in the common space. Access to the kitchen and bicycles was great. The host Ariel was very welcoming and engaging. He took the time to chat we us, give us suggestions of things to do, shared some of his food and drinks with us. His musical talents were amazing!

Location was excellent, with comfortable beds and all the required amenities in good working order. Perfect for our 3 night stay. It’s a 5 min walk to a good size supermarket, 15 mins to the main ‘downtown’ Avenida with restaurants and the mercado. 3 amazing hikes to the top of the ancient caldera, and the butterfly farm is a must see. We were able to park our car inside their gate, and the home is a 15 min walk to access one of the 3 primary hikes in the area, India Dormida. Jose and his partner, Liz, are wonderful hosts, and made us feel like family. The breakfast is simple and filling, and we could use their fridge and also made a meal or two using the kitchen facilities. Jose and Liz are gracious hosts and Jose is very witty. They made our time there a truly fun and memorable experience. Communication was excellent, in English and Spanish, despite my spouse and I having very limited Spanish language skills. Local knowledge, tips, and recommendations on things to do in the area were great and super appreciated. Finally, Jose joined us on one of our hikes and he made it super fun and interesting with his knowledge of local flora and fauna. This is a very nice and comfortable hostel! One of thr best I have ever stayed. The dormitory room is very good, the beds are separeted, very comfortable. The common area is big have enough soace for everybody, the kitchen is well equiped. Quiet sorrundings, but the center is not far. This is a super hostel with verykind staffs! Definately recommend it for everybody!

We loved the relaxing property, Ricky the Police Dog, the landscape, it's cleanliness, the play area for kids, the breakfast area was just lovely. The fact that Board Games were available. It's proximity to El Valle activities.
