Its an old farm house with tons of charm. We were welcomed by Sophia and her gang of happy dogs. Sophia has been very kind to us and we felt very welcome. The house is situated near a nice small town where you can walk to for a coffee or beer. The region is really very scenic. Many things to do.

You wind up the hill on a narrow road, and turning around to go the other way is not easy, but then that is what it is like throughout the Douro as soon as you leave the main road along the river. On arrival we got a glass of delicious port wine from their own cultivation. Excellent breakfast in the patio with fresh fruit, delicious bread, cold cuts, cheese, homemade jam ... nothing was missing.
