Mama Root is the perfect getaway in Zanzibar. The property is right on one of the most gorgeous and less touristy beaches, the hotel is small and intimate, the included breakfast is great (lots of fresh fruits fruits and your choice of eggs or pancakes), and the owners and staff are amazing and always checking in to make sure all your needs are met. This place is truly an amazing find. No notes.

There was 9 puppies and still they except the Cre about that we found 3 kittens with out mom 🫶🏼 every single one is extremely lovely who is the part of the family in this hotel..

It’s quiet (except for natural sounds which are lovely), there is a nice beach and the staff is extremely welcoming and nice. The food is exceptionally good, I highly recommend staying for lunch/dinner. The cabins are very spacious and comfortable.

Special thanks to Amy who went above and beyond to help me and wife have an amazing time here. I stayed at the bungalow villa which was honestly the best resort I've stayed in. The communal areas are amazing and the staff are very friendly. Room service is great. If it was not for Amy, I would have given this a slightly lower score but due to her attention to details and perfect hospitality, I would say this is 10/10. We loved the setting, the quiet and the peace of Kizikula was really special. The bathroom was enormous and modern. The beds comfortable.and the room clean. The landscaping of the hotel is really special, you feel a milion miles from the stresses of daily life. The staff were friendly and attentive.

Great location with a private beach access, not far from the village center where you can get anything you want. Room was spacious and very clean with both fan and A/C. Thank you guys for the stay, we'll definitely come back next time we'll be in Zanzibar ☺️❤️
