Cliffhanger offers wooden chalets with modern decor, a One-Bedroom Cottage and the Chalet, which are perched on the edge of a valley overlooking pristine indigenous forest up to the Outeniqua Mountains. There is also a smaller Budget Garden Cottage.

Forest Edge is a private, tranquil, eco-friendly retreat nestled against an indigenous forest outside of Knysna. It features features barbecue facilities, a children’s playground and a lush garden.

The individually decorated cottages come with a terrace overlooking the garden and forest. It is equipped with a seating area, TV and DVD player, and fireplace. Each cottage has a private entrance and the bathroom includes a Victorian bath and outdoor hot water shower. Free WiFi and satellite TV are available in some units.

Portland Manor Country Estate is a historical working farm located in Rheenendal, on the Garden Route, some 25 minutes’ drive from the center of Knysna.

A restaurant, the Cowshed Eatery caters for all meals, and the quaint pub, which was once a sheep shearer’s cottage, serves a delicious pub menu and craft beer on tap.

This is a special place — the historical manor is every bit as impressive and charming as it looks on the pictures. The staff was friendly, breakfast and dinner fantastic. Our kids loved the pool, we loved the atmosphere and tranquility. There was an issue with our booking, but the staff found a solution that worked well for us. It is in the countryside, but only a short drive out of Knysna.

Wonderful property so well cared for and relaxing energy in the amazing gardens. When we arrived load shedding was happening which was perfect we went for a walk on the trail in the property and really settled into nature. We had read the cell service was limited and wifi at the cabin wasn't strong (it was absolutely fine I think they've added a repeater). But we decided to make it a screen free night and enjoyed the games they provided and had a wonderful night. Thank you for creating such a wonderful sanctuary!!
