A wonderful small family-run hotel in the centre of the old town part of Veliko Tărnovo. The location is perfect, especially as it’s located one block away from the sometimes noisy main road. It’s a well-designed new building and spotlessly clean. Miroslav, the host while I was there, was a fountain of information and tremendously helpful in making onward travel plans.

Boasting a garden and views of mountain, R34 Boutique Guest House is a guest house set in a historic building in Veliko Tŭrnovo, 400 metres from Archaeological Museum Veliko Turnovo. Host was super friendly, the room was huge and comfy, shared living room and garden is a great bonus. Location is also quite charming, near nature and near city but it doesn’t feel busy.

I've been in a lot of BnBs and this may be the best one of all. Owner is lovely, location is excellent and breakfast on the balcony is brilliant. Don't stay anywhere else.

Amazing views, close to everything we wanted to see. Good amenities such as soap and coffee. The studio itself was clean and well-equipped. Veliko Tarnovo is a beautiful city.

This was probably one of the warmest, kindest, cleanest and joyful place we have ever stayed. The hosts are full of life and life tales, they make you feel so much at home and treat you like one of their friends from the second they meet you. The room was spacious, clean and quiet with everything you could possibly need to make the stay perfect.

We booked an apartment for three days on Bulgaria's national holiday. The apartment was spacious, clean, and comfortable. The host was very polite — they even arranged a parking spot for us, although the place listing here stated that the hotel does not offer parking spots, and we knew that — we just asked for advice on where to park. During Bulgaria's national holiday, the city of Veliko Tarnovo is visited by thousands of tourists, and it gets pretty hard to find a place to stay, eat, or visit local landmarks and attractions. So, it was in this hotel too - there is a fast-food restaurant on the ground floor, and it gets quite visited by the people passing by (the hotel is on the main street, leading to the Tsarevets fortress - one of the most visited attractions, especially during national holidays). We were delighted to be served well by the hosts, even in such conditions. Several cats live in the backyard, so our kids were delighted to play with them. The hotel's front entrance is on the main street. Still, the back gate is at the beginning of the 'Street of Crafts' (the so-called 'Самоводска чаршия' / 'Samovodska charshiya')—one of the tourist attractions in Veliko Tarnovo, which is even greater. The 'Museum of Illusions' is just across the street—a trendy place to visit with your kids. It gets pretty visited, so the queues to enter there are long. However, since the hotel is just in front of it, we could observe when they will open it while we have breakfast and enter without waiting for hours in long queues.

Offering a garden and garden view, Guest House Gurkov is situated in Veliko Tŭrnovo, 1.9 km from Tsarevets Fortress and 1.8 km from Forty Martyrs Church. The premises were clean and fresh, the bed was comfortable, the breakfast was diverse and very tasty. And the host was extremely helpful, kind and really welcoming. The view is speechless. The location is perfect! I highly recommend this hotel.

Erinomainen sijainti, upea iso terassi mahtavilla linnanäkymillä. Iso huone, sohvasta sai mukavan lisävuoteen. Erittäin positiivinen kokemus.
