Boasting a garden and views of mountain, Chez Dodo 2534 Orvin Le Foncet is a bed and breakfast set in a historic building in Evilard, 43 km from International Watch and Clock Museum. If you are looking for a retreat from the city, but close to amenities, then this is your place. The hosts are warm a welcoming, the room spacious and comfortable, and newly built into the (huge) old carriage house attached to the main home, the views spectacular and reviving. Located on a working farm, you are removed rom the noise of the hustle and bustle and can retreat into the serenity of a traditional Swiss chalet on a large plot of land surrounded by the rolling Alpine hills. For those looking to walk to restaurants and the lake nearby, be warned that you will need to drive, but it is a short 15 minute drive at most, and the main road to the chalet easily connects to the highway into town. With a small fridge in the large room, you can bring something in, or take advantage of the breakfast offered in the morning. Happily, I was able to bring my furry friends without extra charge, and they, too, enjoyed their stay! All in all a wonderful night. I only wish I had had more time. :)

B&B im Herzen von Biel ligger i Biel, en 4-minutters kjøretur fra Bielsjøen og stranden, og har TV-stue, felleskjøkken og rom med gratis Wi-Fi. They were great! Friendly and hospitable!

Guesthouse Erlach is located on the Galsstrasse, 5 minutes walk from the pebbly shores of Lake Biel. The property offers a sizeable garden and there is a pottery shop on the ground floor. It's really well located, the company I visited was surprisingly just down a street from there, also a bunch of restaurants and the lake. They weren't on site, but gave me really good instructions, also warned about the turtles/tortoises (which of sadly none I happened to meet). The room was tidy, it had a little ac, a comfy sofa, comfy beds, tv, more then one needs. Oh and a personal little terrace.

Built in 1873 as a girls' boarding school, the charming Hotel Garni Villa Carmen in La Neuveville at Lake Biel offers an outdoor pool, free Wi-Fi and a tennis court (surcharge). It was a spacious, very clean historic villa. Our room had a beautiful view onto the lake and distant mountains, even the Alps.The hostess was very friendly, welcoming and helpful.
