The oceanside property is fitted with five suites and two bungalows in total, each one with private bathroom facilities and private entrance. Some of them have ocean view and private terrace. Rooms at Hotel Boutique La Perouse are set up as double rooms but may be changed to become triple rooms upon request. Excellent location, ocean view, near to good restaurants. Large and comfortable bungalow, with garden. Very clean and with nice furniture. Owners are very friendly and helpful.

Set in a charming cabins made of local materials on the slopes of Rano Kau Volcano, Cabanas Christophe offers rooms and self-catering bungalows with free Wi-Fi and plasma TVs in Easter Island. Hanga Roa city centre is a 5-minute drive away. I loved everything. The cabins are close to the airport, perhaps five min drive so even later when I rented a bicycle to move around, it was very easy to reach them. The Internet connection is great, the beds are comfy, the bathroom immaculate, but I have to highlight that Christophe is an excellent host the like of which I have never met. He simply showed up at the airport to pick me up, holding my name on the board, which I truly didn’t expect. Moreover, he and his family offer breakfast (which also I didn’t know when I booked nor did I expect). The warm bread and delicious jam bought me forever. Christophe is also very helpful with regards to finding tours or renting any vehicle you might need. Next time I come, I’ll stay in his place again.

A recently renovated guest house located in Hanga Roa, Hostal Makohe Rapa Nui features a garden. This guest house provides free private parking, free shuttle service and free WiFi. The accommodation features a shared kitchen, free shuttle service and luggage storage for guests. Everything! This is a lovely place to stay on Rapa Nui. You are a short stroll to the center of town, to the Ahu Tahai and the ocean. Carlos and Pamela are the most gracious hosts. They will make you feel welcome and can help arrange tours, etc. You really could not ask for better hosts. The rooms are very nice and super clean, and have a small fridge. . My bed was so comfortable. The shared kitchen is spacious and clean and well equipped. There is a living room to hang out in and a nice backyard. Hostal Makohe, in my opinion, is really a step up from the usual hostal.

The units provide views of the garden and come with a washing machine, a fully equipped kitchenette with a microwave, and a private bathroom with a hair dryer and free toiletries. A toaster, a fridge and stovetop are also featured, as well as a kettle. At the bed and breakfast, the units are fitted with bed linen and towels. The place was clean and comfortable. Excellent location. Restaurants, shops, supermarkets and cafes are only a minute away by foot. Pathy, the hostess, was awesome. She was a big help for information about Rapa Nui. Free transport to and from the airport, which is 3 minutes away by car. You can walk to the waterfront in about 8 minutes. Tour agencies, Internet cafe, and other services are located on the same street (the main street) as the lodge. Kahina Lodge... highly recommended.
