I spent four days with Maricela in the bedroom with a private bathroom. Maricela is a lovely host, she picked me up at the airport and she talked me through different options of things to do in the upcoming days. She can put you in contact with a guide for any type of activity you would like to do. Her house is very nice, very welcoming (and her dog Niky is lovely!) My room had AC and a hammock in front of the door, super cosy. The bathroom was clean and very big. You can take a moto-taxi to town (Maricela can call one for you) or walk, it takes around 15/20 minutes and it's very secure. I really appreciated that Maricela was always waiting for me when I came back from dinner or activities - as someone travelling alone, it was nice to know someone was looking after me. I would recommend going for lunch in Terras Amazonas (excellent Wifi) and have ice cream at Nàì Chì Gelatería Artesanal after watching the birds settle for the night in Park Santander... Magic!

Life around the area delighted us. It was an incredible place. You really should go and stay here if you want to live the jungle.

Bungalow In The Jungle -Ecolodge HUITOTO biedt accommodatie met een tuin in Leticia. Er is ook een koelkast en koffiezetapparaat aanwezig. The place was lovely, clean and it had everything we needed. Donia Luz Nelly was very warm and welcoming with her brother and husband. A nice river nearby, and safe place overall. I really recommend Takania. The tour guide recommended by them Javier was incredibly helpful
