Palmetto Lodge in Playa San Miguel provides adults-only accommodation with pool with a view, a garden and a bar. This beachfront property offers access to a terrace and free private parking. A great place and one of our favourite places we stayed at! You’ll see an amazing sunset and it’s perfect to have a few real es days. The location is a bit off the street in the mountain, so a 4x4 is needed or reach out to them before for a pick up. The whole house is clean, smells good and everyone’s nice. I can definitely recommend staying here!

Offering a garden and lake view, La Ceiba Tree Lodge is situated in Tilarán, 41 km from La Fortuna Waterfall and 17 km from Venado Caves. We stayed only for 1 night but enjoyed a lot. Very friendly and helpful host, nice location, quiet and with great view on a Arenal lake. Very good breakfast.

Baliyana Lodge is located in San José Pinilla and features a pool with a view and garden views. This property offers access to a terrace, free private parking and free WiFi. Beautiful property run by a lovely French couple! Very hospitable with clean, well kept rooms, a great pool, and nice European style breakfast.

Casa del Sol provides a garden, as well as accommodation with a kitchenette in Tamarindo, 100 metres from Tamarindo Beach. A clean and sandy beach just across the road and the downtown is a few minutes walk away. I'd love to stay there longer next time.

Tee-K Lodge Tamarindo is 7 km from Tamarindo and offers accommodation with an outdoor swimming pool and a garden. The bed and breakfast has air-conditioned rooms with a private bathroom and free WiFi.... Arthur and Claire were the most amazing hosts! So attentive, kind and hospitable! They spoiled us rotten with new baked goods and treats every day. We will never stay anywhere else next time we come to Costa Rica. Can’t recommend enough! You will love it. They really felt like family after 9 days. Also their home cooked breakfast and espresso are very good. The pool is beautiful. We enjoyed sitting under the stars after getting home each evening and looking at the moon. The pool, property and rooms are all very clean. Arthur and Claire came every day to tidy up our room and give us fresh towels. They even came when we left later in the afternoon. We never expected that and even felt bad, but that’s how personal and attentive they are. They truly made our stay in Costa Rica special. Thank you Arthur and Claire! :)

Situated in Nuevo Arenal, Casa Donna Rosa B&B features accommodation with rooftop pool, free WiFi and free private parking for guests who drive. We could not have asked for more. Carlos, our host, was super helpful and knowledgeable. Breakfast was amazing, the place was clean, quiet, bed and pillows were comfortable, near facilities and we could park our motorcycles in a sheltered parking spot. Definitely strongly recommended.

Located in Sámara, Hotel Villas Tangerine is adults only and offers accommodation with a patio. Free WiFi is offered. This place is absolutely beautiful. The best place we stayed in all of Costa Rica. Peke is an amazing cook and the breakfast and coffee and juice were fantastic. The dining area is beautiful. Jenna is so warm and welcoming. What a gem of a place. Rooms and grounds are lovely. The pool is wonderful. Because there are only 5 rooms, it is a really peaceful and quiet place and the pool was often empty. Easy and flat walk to the beach takes about 15 mins.
