The location was perfect, close to the centre and within walking distance of cafes and restaurants and of course the Saturday market. The room was huge with lots of space and a seating area by the window which was great for relaxing. The water was super hot in the shower, ideal for a freshen up after hiking around the Laguna de Cuicocha! The communal areas were well equipped and very clean plus drinking water was provided. Alberto provided information on things to do and offered help in organising any activities. A great place and a very enjoyable stay.

Not only is the hostel in a beautiful location with many amenities for an affordable price but the family that runs the hostel quickly became a family I could call my own. José, Matilde, Inti, and Joselito are all such kind and personable people - I was here during Inti Raymi and José invited me to join for a ritual bathing ceremony practiced by many of the indigenous people, and explained the significance of it all. Beyond the hospitality, the rooms are incredibly spacious and comfortable and if you want it, single rooms are very affordable. On top of this, Inti offers a taxi service (well known as the ‘Inti Taxi’ haha) and can bring you wherever you need! During one of my days here I took the ‘Inti Taxi’ to El Lechero and the Condor Park and Inti was able to share tons of information about these places. This is the perfect place to stay if you are looking to visit and immerse yourself in the Otavaleño culture. I also learned some Kichwa from the family as well.

Un lugar super acogedor, limpio y cálido. Ubicado muy cerca del lago San Pablo. La cama muy cómoda. Vista increible viendo un desayuno completo que incluye huevos, frutas, croissants, jugo y cafe!!

Hospedaje Vertientes del Imbabura tiene jardín, salón de uso común, terraza y restaurante en Otavalo. Loved our host, very sweet people and didn't mind me using Google translate to communicate better. He even took us to a few places most visitors probably don't think about. They prepared us dinner one night which was great! The house is super cute and clean, love the view to the lake. The town is safe to walk I'm at night. Make sure to go to Bambu Grill. Great place to eat.

In addition to it's gourgeous location Pacheco Farmhouse is blessed with a fabulous team, that really puts their soul into the food that they cook. Each dish is thought and prepared with loads of love and intention. Starting from picking out the best ingredients from the nearby farms to producing beautiful and delicious food. We honestly feel rejuvenated and it is hard to leave. Thank you Curtis for your delicious food and hospitality :)
