The room was huge with lots of space and a seating area by the window which was great for relaxing. The water was super hot in the shower, ideal for a freshen up after hiking around the Laguna de Cuicocha! The communal areas were well equipped and very clean plus drinking water was provided. Alberto provided information on things to do and offered help in organising any activities. A great place and a very enjoyable stay.

We loved everything about the place. The view is breathtaking, and the owner and staff are the kindest people on earth. We will definitely stay there again.

I do not have the words to express how good my time here was. Not only is the hostel in a beautiful location with many amenities for an affordable price but the family that runs the hostel quickly became a family I could call my own. José, Matilde, Inti, and Joselito are all such kind and personable people - I was here during Inti Raymi and José invited me to join for a ritual bathing ceremony practiced by many of the indigenous people, and explained the significance of it all. Beyond the hospitality, the rooms are incredibly spacious and comfortable and if you want it, single rooms are very affordable. On top of this, Inti offers a taxi service (well known as the ‘Inti Taxi’ haha) and can bring you wherever you need! During one of my days here I took the ‘Inti Taxi’ to El Lechero and the Condor Park and Inti was able to share tons of information about these places. This is the perfect place to stay if you are looking to visit and immerse yourself in the Otavaleño culture. I also learned some Kichwa from the family as well.

Loved our host, very sweet people and didn't mind me using Google translate to communicate better. He even took us to a few places most visitors probably don't think about. They prepared us dinner one night which was great! The house is super cute and clean, love the view to the lake. The town is safe to walk I'm at night. Make sure to go to Bambu Grill. Great place to eat.

Pacheco Farmhouse - Intag Valley is situated in Peñaherrera and offers a bar. The property has river views. There is a terrace and guests can make use of free WiFi and free private parking. Everything was amazing. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The food was exceptional and they were very accommodating, making delicious gluten free vegetarian food for me. Even though it's close to the road it's very quiet and peaceful. The river drowns out most noises. Lots of birds to see as well. Maria and her son took me down the hillside to the river on the first day I was there. The river is so beautiful. I stayed in one of the cute little cabins, which I would choose again if I stay there again. If you need more space they do have larger rooms in the farmhouse. I spent quite a lot of time relaxing on the front porch in the hammock watching the birds and listening to the music of the river. I live here in intag and am checking out places for friends when they come to visit. This is the first one I've actually stayed at. I highly recommend it. ❤️❤️❤️

Located 3 km from Cotacachi commercial centre, Hacienda San Isidro De Iltaqui offers free WiFi and breakfast. The accommodation is set in an organic farm in a colonial hacienda. It's difficult to pick just one thing that we liked because the Hacienda San Isidro de Iltaqui was extraordinary in so many ways! We loved the hacienda's ambiance, the farm fresh food was delicious, and the hosts offered attentive, personal, old world hospitality that will bring us back. Cannot recommend highly enough.
