Just 5 miles from the city centre of Oxford, The Bear and Ragged Staff offers fantastic homemade food, free parking, and free Wi-Fi. The food was fantastic. We are vegetarians and we were well catered for. I highly recommend the food. They also have policies in place that steers them in a more environmentally positive direction.

Beautiful house, lovely rooms, very clean, felt safe, and instructions were very easy to follow. Mimi (the cat) is very gentle and sweet. She only has access to the kitchen and outside, unless you let her in to the rest of the house. Naturally, we loved her so we let her roam freely through the house (when there were no other guests around) and she even spent one of the nights with us! Honestly such a great stay and would so easily recommend and go back. For breakfast, you're a 3 minute walk from Proof Social Bakehouse (pricey but AMAZING pastries, check opening times on google maps), and 5 minutes to the bus stop to go to Abingdon or Oxford (about 15mins to get to either). We loved the beautiful location at the edge of the water. Our hostess Annette was genuinely interested and very helpful providing us with insider tips for places to visit and a very nice breakfast. We were looking for a relaxing retreat and found exactly that. We gladly would come again at any time. Don‘t change a thing!

Menawarkan taman dan teres, Cranberry Cottage menawarkan penginapan di Wallingford dengan WiFi percuma dan pemandangan taman. This lovely accommodation exceeded our expectations! Having arrived in the dark we managed to get a glimpse of the front room. At the front door we were greeted by the lovely hosts, Sue and Brendan who took us through. The house is simply unique and very beautiful. It has 3 floors (and a basement for the hosts use only). The front room had a very home-from-home feel. Sue showed us the kitchen which was amazing - wooden beams and original wooden doors but also a very modern feel to it. She then took us up to our room which was in the roof of house so it had a low ceiling and a small window. The bed was comfy and the bathroom was very clean and tidy. We had a little heater in the room which came in handy during the night and morning especially because of the recent cold spell. Breakfast was superb, the table was laid out for us complete with homemade bread (which was a wonderful treat) and condiments, cereals, yoghurts, juice and hot drinks. It was just a case of help ourselves. We have friends in Wallingford and every so often meet up with them for evenings out. It's always been difficult in the past to find reasonable accommodation but not any more, this is now our go to place and with hosts like Sue and Brendan we couldn't have found anywhere better.

Everything was so great! We were looked after in the best possible way. We were not ready at all with the list of things to do in the area, but there were many different info leaflets available and a great visitors information book in the room. And a little surprise box of chocolates too! Wow!! Definitely would love to come back. The places around are so gorgeous. what a beautiful place to visit away from all hassle. The Rooms are beautiful, very neat, and cozy. Definitely recommend it. Thank you!

Love everything about the stay! The hotel is delicately decorated and gives a nice cosy and romantic vibe. The rooms are spacious and have a vintage feel. Staffs are really friendly and helpful. Would definitely recommend to friends and come back in the future!

Character old Inn in the heart of the beautiful little village of Asthall, a 5 mins drive from Burford. The Inn has been tastefully restored with quality furnishings. Our room and en suite bathroom was very attractive and comfortable and led on to the outdoor eating area. Surrounded by the best of the English countryside, we enjoyed an excellent pub meal. The food was exceptional, much of which was locally sourced. The staff were very friendly and we wouldn’t hesitate to return. Highly recommended.
