I write this review from a specific perspective — I had arrived in Vrindavan with a group but then stayed a few days on my own. I have been to Vrindavan previously but I was a little nervous about staying solo as a western woman… Vraja can present some challenges for us in regards to attracting attention, even if you are an experienced devotee. I usually stay at MVT so I can walk directly to ISKCON by myself, but it was full and I am SO GLAD I found Shree Krishna Bhakti Ashram instead! It perfectly threads the needle between having comfortable rooms and being peaceful and still in the center of Vrindavan, with the real spirit of Vrindavan and not like some of the newer developments. “Ashram” conjures up thoughts of austerities — and on the same trip I stayed alone in a Math that I couldn’t handle alone… but the rooms here are incredibly comfortable and provide things that seem luxurious in an ashram, especially for the price. I had a king-sized bed with comfortable mattresses, multiple pillows, and duvets — no fuzzy brown blankets … A wardrobe, a table and chairs for sitting, a KETTLE and tea/coffee cups with some hot drink packets and even digestive biscuits!!! Also an amazing ceiling fan, real towels in the washroom, a shower head providing hot water with water pressure instead of a bucket… etc. There’s even a TV with cable, I believe, but I did not get a chance to use it. there’s also an enclosed colonial-style veranda looking out onto a lawn which is a peaceful place to enjoy your beverage. The ashram features a small temple in the back which seems to offer small aartis daily, but this really seemed like more of a guest house than a residential ashram. anyways here is why you should choose this place as a solo woman — there is always security and the staff are AMAZING and super helpful! I booked specifically based on other Booking reviews that expressed this.

A very friendly and kind host who took great care of us, giving tips, organizing a taxi, money change and whatever you will need to make your trip easy, just ask if you need something. The house is located away from the main road and therefore offers a quiet environment. The host offer home made traditional food, very delicious and served cleanly, recommend. The house has a beautiful terrace and it is possible to eat there.

Em Varanasi, a cerca de 3 minutos a pé de Dasaswamedh Ghat, Anand Kanan tem um terraço, quartos não fumador e acesso Wi-Fi gratuito em toda a propriedade. Começando pela localização, o hotel fica a poucos minutos a pé do principal ghat. Foi uma ótima surpresa quando entramos na acomodação e era muito ampla, a limpeza estava excelente, o wifi era muito bom, o ar condicionado era potente e a cama era muito confortável. Chegamos 6h da manhã e permitiram fazer early check in, o que nos ajudou bastante. Toda a equipe foi muito afetuosa e solícita a todo tempo. No check out, conhecemos o dono que ainda sentou conosco e tomamos um chai juntos. Por fim, ainda precisamos de ajuda pois não tínhamos dinheiro em espécie para pagar o TukTuk até o aeroporto e o hotel prontamente pagou a nossa parte para posteriormente fazermos o pagamento a eles. Nos sentimos extremamente acolhidos a todo momento e certamente é uma hospedagem que indicamos para amigos e para todos.

Situated in Agra, 2.2 km from Taj Mahal, Max Guest House features a terrace and views of the garden. Free WiFi is available. Max welcomed us with a warm smile and gave all necessary information. He checked us in early too which was nice. The food is very good, and the room was clean.
