Yakushima Park Guesthouse ligger i Yakushima, knappt 10 km från Shiratani Unsuikyo och 23 km från berget Miyanoura. The location is great! From this guest house, you can easily go to popular destinations(Jomon-Sugi, and Shiratani unsuikyo) with public transportation options and rental cars. Also there are great restaurants in walkable range. Moreover, the host is super kind and he can tell lots of things about Yakushima travel!(you better be good at speaking Japanese)

Our hosts Mr. Taguchi and Ms. Taguchi were very kind and gave us many information before our stay and also during our stay. They even drove us to the shop to buy a bus ticket. We enjoyed every minute of our stay. The location is very quiet and beautiful. The bath is very very nice, a combination of modern shower and traditional bathrooms. The breakfast at Taguchi San residence was incredibly delicious. We will definitely come back here one day.

Perfect location and clean room at a very good price. Hospitable host. Shared bathroom but brand new and there are only two other guest rooms, so you never wait long. Room is large with ocean view.

We spent great moments here. Inside the house, it is pretty warm. There are coffee beans and everything ready for us to make a hand drip coffee. I can’t wait to make one cup. The coffee taste so good and smooth, maybe this is selected beans. I connected the Bluetooth speaker and playing Mayumi Itsuwa’s songs. Music harmonized with the lovely chalet interior, the atmosphere is so relaxing and immersive. Kihara-san is very nice. The Shinyu Onsen he recommended is gorgeous. The hot spring water is wonderful. It is milky-white, so natural and so great. I guess it come from a sulphur spring. In the daytime, we hiked around Onamiike and Ebino Plateau. The crater lake is amazing and there are great views along the trails. At night, we do BBQ in front of the chalet. We rent a Charcoal Konro Grill set, it is really convenient. We bought some Japanese Wagyu beef for yakiniku from supermarket near Kirishima. The beef is yummy, really delicious.

La Isla Tasse ligger i en stor herrgård i amerikansk stil, 15 minuters bilresa från Yakushimas flygplats. An excellent place, the house is exceptionally clean. We had a bedroom that was very comfortable with a view on Anbo river. Breakfast is exceptional, traditional Japanese with an egg and ham, every day different options. The hosts are very, very nice people.

Tomarigi ligger 3 minuters promenad från Yakushimas flygplats och erbjuder en bädd i sovsal, en trädgård med en hängmatta och gratis Wi-Fi. Satomi-san is the best woman! She was so nice and friendly with everybody, she creates special atmosphere of this place. She made me onigiri for hiking, but they were so big, that I finished just one. I’m so sorry…😬 When I have just arrived to Tomarigi, I was a bit sad and tired, but in the end of my stay it was like to live in a family. Can’t wait to come back and see Satomi-san again 🙃
