Set within a former residence of local merchant, Inase Otsu Machiya Bed and Breakfast is set in Otsu, 700 metres from Mii-dera Temple. Each room is fitted with a flat-screen TV. A unique place with peaceful atmosphere. I enjoyed my time a lot. Everything was excellent.

The trip to the bathroom during the night was somewhat difficult for us. The bedroom was on the upper floor in the lovely traditional Japanese house. The narrow stairway was challenging for us. There is ample room downstairs and perhaps owners would accommodate a request to put the bedding there.

Kuniyo-san was very nice, welcoming and friendly. Her cooking was amazing, totally delicious and beautiful washoku. when I asked for vegetarian washoku, she made me amazing dishes with local ingredients. She even dropped me off to the train station. Totally recommended!

Instructions by the host were precise and clear before the checkin. The rooms were sparkling clean, hosts were super friendly and helpful! Location is great to multiple sights in the neighborhood. (Metasequoia trees, cherry blossom, etc. ) Everything is as described in the property descruption. Even better than the pictures. Hosts do not speak english, however they are well prepared with a translator app.

Really clean more than you can expect, you will come to know what 'sprit of clean' is. They take care of the houese something like master piece 2. Great breakfast. Don't miss the chance to have breakfast here. 3. Great service spirit of the guest house owner. They are veeeery kind. 4. Really suitable for experiencing traditionl japanese house. Thank you.
