Located in Nanto and only 44 km from Kanazawa Castle, GOKAYAMA BASE provides accommodation with mountain views, free WiFi and free private parking. Our stay was PERFECT in every way. The house is so thoughtfully designed and with such good taste. Everything is super clean and tidy yet very cozy and it feels like home. The shower rooms are wonderful, the rooms are spacious, the kitchen has absolutely everything and all such good quality. We stayed two nights and visited the world heritage sites nearby. You can get to Ainokura walking 30/40 minutes. The others are reached by bus and the bus stop is right in front of the house. You have a supermarket 2 blocks away, two bakeries from Which I totally recommend the bread / doughnut with red bean paste and the cakes. We also had a wonderful dinner in one of the restaurants. The host was so kind and attentive to every detail. I totally fully recommend staying here. Wonderful experience!

Located in Nanto and only 48 km from Kanazawa Castle, Guest House Takazuri-KITA provides accommodation with mountain views, free WiFi and free private parking. Owners were very friendly and recommended some fantastic local onsen. Pickup and drop-off from nearby bus stop made the trip accessible even without a car. Japanese style breakfast (available for small additional fee at check-in) was delicious. We wish we would have stayed a two or three nights instead of just one.

Located in the historical world heritage site of Ainokura village, Minshuku Yomoshirou offers Japanese-style accommodations in a traditional Gassho-style house with thatched roofs. Hosts were so accommodating, kind and gracious. They have snow boots and sleds you can borrow if you go in the winter. The space was warm and comfortable and the meals were incredibly delicious and thoughtful. We had a lovely one night stay in the adorable town of Ainokura.

Host prepared a delicious complimentary meal for our first night with complimentary sake. Rooms and amenities and neat and clean. Heaters, showers are warm. There's drinking water, coffee, cold drinks in the pantry, hall and fridge. There's a hot tub to soak in. Automated toilet. Great location when driving. 3-5min drive to highway to travel to neighbouring attractions. 5min drive to grocery, shopping and restaurants. There's a parking lot in the shed in front of the house. Highly recommended and will stay again in future.

Amazing hosts who are very welcoming and actually ended up talking to and playing games all night on my last night there! Tram stop is literally right across from the guest house (like 10 feet) along with the closest convenient store.
