The location is very convenient allowing easy and quick access to surrounding sightseeing and hiking places (i.e., with a car). Supermarkets are within walking distance. Great value for the money. Free WiFi access is available throughout the entire property, and free private parking is offered on site. A convenience store and supermarket are respectively a 2 and 15-minute stroll away. A restaurant is located a 3-minute walk away from the accommodation. A great guesthouse in the lakes area! We're so glad we didn't stay in the much busier Kawaguchi lake area and stayed here, where it was far quieter and laid-back. The owners are a lovely couple who are well travelled and clearly know how to run the perfect guesthouse with a chilled hostel-like atmosphere. Our room was lovely, our first traditional Japanese style room. The whole place is spotlessly clean, warm, and cosy. We also loved the common area with kotatsu (like a Spanish brasero), books, and large, well-equipped kitchen.

Fujikawaguchiko
Located 2.5 km from Lake Kawaguchi in Fujikawaguchiko, GuestHouse OC features free WiFi access and private parking.
The rooms are equipped with a shared bathroom.
You will find a shared kitchen at the property.
Guesthouse OC is a small family run, Japanese like, hotel. The vicinity of Kawaguchi bus and train station is a strong reason when choosing OC. You can walk to or from the station in about 5 minutes. The location is also close to the main attraction in the area: Kawaguchi Lake (Kawaguchiko) and Mt. Fuji Panoramic Ropeway, again some 10-20 minutes walking time each. Supermarkets and restaurants, all are accessible by walking. The hotel itself is small, few rooms (less than 10) with a sufficient number of WC and shower rooms to be shared by the visitors in the commun area. We enjoyed staying in a Japanese style room, very close to a Ryokan style hotel. For a westerner this room may be less comfortable but if you agree to test it it may be a very pleasant experience. The hotel is equipped with everything needed for a relaxing sojourn and, what's most important, the hotel is well maintained and absolutely clean. The owner family is very friendly and supportive. Being a Japaneze style hotel, there may be some particularities like the less phonic insulation between rooms but once accepted this and if you are lucky having civilised neighbors observing common sense rules for living together this fact is perfectry tolerable. It was the case during our stay there. On top of this, despite the vecinity with a crowded point like a bus/railway station and the surrounding roads, the hotel is particularly quiet, with a rural appearance. During our stay the hotel was under the works for extention but, despite this, we didn't feel it, thanks to the well organized works.

A huge studio apartment which is rare to find in japan! Being able to see Mt fuji at the end of the street is mesmerising. Great location in a quiet spot where you can easily walk or cycle to main parts of the area! The hosts were incredibly welcoming and attention to detail orientated. They easily put two beds together so we could have a queen bed!
The view of Fuji from the rooftop foot bath was spectacular, our room was spacious and charming with a nice lake view. The staff were so helpful and friendly, the food excellent. I used the public and private onsens and both were so relaxing.
Private rooms at a reasonable price, quiet location and great views of Mount Fuji. The nearest convinience store is about 15 minutes away, so I'd recommend timing your sightseeing with your grocery shopping before you go back to the hotel.
Excellent room (Mount Fuji view with tatami) Room number 864. Onsen (private), hot tub and breakfast all excellent.
The hosts, Mr and Mrs Kashiwagi, were extremely friendly and welcoming. It was a lovely place to stay and breakfast was very nice, especially the Japanese style one. The Onsen is in a lovely quiet neighbourhood and there are great views of Mt. Fuji from the streets around. It has a large onsen which guests have private use of, and is really relaxing. Also Mr Kashiwagi very kindly picked me up from the station one day, and took me to the bus stop when I left.
Lovely Japanese style room, private open bath was fantastic with a beautiful view of Mt Fuji. Lovely roof top terrace with a great view of Fuji. Room had traditional tea ceremony set, fridge and toiletries that you need. We went half board and the Kaiseki dinner and breakfast were both fantastic experiences, an enormous amount of traditional food at each served by the sweetest lady. You also get traditional clothing to wear to dinner which was great. Lovely and quiet location. Handy transfer to the station.
Very quiet and private. Easy to get local bus. Hostess was lovely but no English at all. Google translate was useful. Only saw her once had the onset to ourselves. Very comfortable bed and surprisingly roomy accommodation
Quiet with great location, right across the road from the Kawaguchiko station. The rooms were clean and the shared facilities like showers and bathrooms were great. The staff made the check in/ out and stay so easy. Not a luxurious hotel but perfect for people wanting to explore the area.
Great location, with beautiful views of both Mt Fuji and the lake behind the hotel. Breakfast room offered viewing of both. Excellent breakfast buffet. Private onsen was great and easy to book. Staff were extremely helpful and courteous. Would stay again if we were in the area.
Charming hotel with a lovely feel and welcoming staff, it's a great location for the Kawaguchiko ropeway and you can easily walk to the hotel in 15 minutes from the station using Google maps. I recommend you plan in advance regarding dinner as it's a pretty quiet place and a lot of restaurants close early. I loved my hotel room as it had traditional tatami flooring and I also had a great view of the lake. Staff very friendly and helpful, I hope to stay again.
