JamboHouse Lamu is set in Lamu, 400 metres from Gallery Baraka, 500 metres from Lamu Museum, and 500 metres from 18th Century Swahili House Museum. Location is nice, everything is clean, the roof top is a perfect place to chill, breakfast is delicious and Arnold and Fred were very helpful and smiling at any time. Do not hesitate !

Situated within 500 metres of Manda Beach and 500 metres of Shela Beach in Lamu, Jua House provides accommodation with seating area. I loved how clean it was and how much attention was paid to details. Thé staff, especially Amani were very friendly and helpful and helped me navigate my way around.

This historical Arabian-style building is located in the UNESCO-listed town of Lamu. It is less than 300 metres from the seafront and 3 km from the white sandy beach. Very unique property! Loved everything about it

Set 300 metres from Lamu Fort, Beytsalam offers accommodation with a shared lounge, a terrace and a shared kitchen for your convenience. Complimentary WiFi is offered. Breakfast was really nice, with a choice between Swahili and English style and it was served on the cozy rooftop terrace with views of the sea. I was lucky to be upgraded to their spacious and well-appointed "executive" suite on the third floor. Omar and Lilian were great to deal with at breakfast and with laundry etc., I appreciated the help they provided in many ways and look forward to coming again.

Offering a terrace and quiet street view, Wildebeeste Lamu is situated in Lamu, 300 metres from Lamu Fort and 400 metres from Gallery Baraka. This place never disappoints. This was my second time staying here and it still exceeded my expectations. The flat I stayed in was spacious and thoughtfully designed with some artful collections of antique Swahili style furniture. There was access to a private fully equipped kitchenette with an adjacent outdoor dining/ lounging area. The room was airy and well ventilated and also had a very spacious bathroom that had great shower pressure! Joshua is an exceptional host, responsive, warm and welcoming and very attentive. He has even made provisions for Solar lights in case of power outages which were infrequent during my stay and only lasted a few minutes at a time. The Wilderbeeste provides all the comforts and necessities of a home away from home yet its quirky and historical design provides a sense of adventure and novelty needed for a retreat! Can't wait to return for a longer stay!

Featuring an outdoor swimming pool, Banana House and Wellness Centre is located in Shela village, Lamu 2.7 km from Gallery Baraka. The property is set 2.8 km from Lamu Fort. This is a wonderful place to stay! It's a little haven from the busy lanes of Shela and Lamu Town .... so peaceful and calming. Its pretty garden, pool and relaxing ambience make it a stunning choice to totally unwind. Yoga and a massage spa are available. The staff are friendly and personable and the food is excellent. One evening we had a choice of a swahili meal cooked by local women ....incredible !! We loved our stay and were sad to leave.

Situated in Shela, Shela Bahari features a restaurant and sea views, 100 metres from Manda Beach and 300 metres from Shela Beach. Set on the beachfront, this property has a shared lounge. Tawfiq and Baraka were great hosts! They took care of everything and made sure we had an easy, pleasant, and enjoyable stay. The hotel is in a beautiful location right on the water and gets a nice breeze. The restaurant downstairs has good food - both local and Western options - and a large selection of gelatos. We loved having an opportunity to relax, slow down a bit, enjoy the beauty of our surroundings, and interact with the locals. Tawfiq even organized for a boat to take us to and from the airport and for a sunset dhow ride on our second night.

Offering sea views, Furaha House is an accommodation located in Shela, 60 metres from Manda Beach and 200 metres from Shela Beach. This beachfront property offers access to a balcony. Our host Kazunga was fantastic! He cooked delicious meals for us, set up tours, and showed us around town.

Facing the seafront on Manda Island, Mangrove House features a private beach area. Among the various facilities are barbecue facilities and a garden. Our stay on Manda’s side at Mangrove House was truly wonderful. The location is unmatched, the peace and quiet are absolute. The staff is wonderful and so is the owner, super attentive and ready to help and share. The house is right in front of Shela and Peponi hotel, just a short boat trip away. Would absolutely go back, and recommend it to everyone going to Lamu!
