El Samal-2 hotel ofrece alojamiento con aire acondicionado en Almaty, a 12 km de Medeo, a 700 metros del Museo Estatal Central de la República de Kazajstán y a 1,1 km del monumento a la Independencia... It was difficult to find by Google map but taxi driver spoke to the owner and the problem was solved easily. The location is very good. Money exchange, supermarket, fruit shop and cafe are located opposite from the hotel. The owner was so helpful to call taxi, to make a reservation for restaurants and so on. The rooms are very clean and beds are super comfy. I will definitely come back here for next visit.

We didnt have water in morning but pipes was frozen, quick to respond and help us out, it was -20 degrees so no fault of theirs.

The beautiful wooden house is located in a valley, from where you can start a few hikes or simply relax around the outside area to either do some yoga, play table tennis or read a book in a bean bag while listening to the sounds of the river close by. On top, Malika and Andrej can tell you a lot of interesting stories about the country, the people and the food. I even had the chance to eat the traditional dish Beshbarmak, which was soo delicious. The included breakfast was freshly prepared and they even asked at what time I'd like to have it.

The hotel is with very good money value. 20 to 23 min walking to Mega Park mall and the center, or 5-6 mins by taxi with cost from 550 to 800 tenge ( 1.5 to 2 $ ). At the beginning you may think that the location is kinda not ok as it's between homes but ABSOLUTELY the location is so accessible, very safe ,people are nice and helpful, ask for room in 2nd or 3rd floor ( right side rooms ) to get a nice beautiful morning mountain view from your window. The room is tidy, clean, with good facilities and the most important there's great quietness all time. There's a quite outdoor tables and seats if you prefer breakfast or drink tea or coffee during the day. It's 20-25 mins from / to airport and taxi service works 24/7 I highly recommend it for all types of travelers.
