TJ was a mine of very interesting information on Colombo and the history of this house. We were fortunate enough to stay when the house was used for wedding photography which gave us an unique insight to Sri Lankan weddings. We were served Sri Lankan breakfasts by Dilshan who explained all the dishes to us and don’t forget to take a dip in the pool.

The host was so welcoming and such an interesting lady who happened to be an architect and who designed the place herself. The breakfast was great and served in a such a serene courtyard. The family has a little cute dog and that made us miss our own doggy. All in all, the perfect place to escape the noise of the city and enjoy some relaxing moments in an incredibly affordable luxury.

Each room is fitted with a private bathroom. We really liked the hotel. It is clean, quiet and beautiful. The polite and kind administrator helped a lot and left a very pleasant impression. We liked Sayura House so much that decided to stop here again on our way back :)
