Stayed for 3 nights and this was our favourite place during our Sri Lanka trip. Homely feel and amazing food and service. Enjoyed the library and endless cups of excellent tea. Our room was comfortable and clean, lots of hot water. Wifi worked very well in the library area. Tea tasting was interesting and some nice walks in the area. Thanks to Dave and the staff for a memorable stay :)

The room was clean and the owner had turned on the AC before our arrival. Due to the extremely hot whether, that was really thoughtful. Owner was so friendly and helpful.

Sarath and his family are the most welcoming and amiable hosts we had on our journey in Sri Lanka. The lodging is on top of a hill and inside a plantation so you are all surrounded by beautiful nature. As part of the plantation Sarath and his family are growing their own coffee and spices from which Sarath's wife cooked a most delicious breakfast and dinner. We enjoyed our stay at Plantation Retreat very much and will never forget the welcoming and relaxed atmosphere. We can very much recommend a stay here.

We loved to stay at the strathisla guesthouse. The view is amazing, the garden with the pool perfect, the staff really friendly and welcoming. We appreciated the tasty food. Definitely a place we would come back.

A well preserved “walawwa”, quite comfy and spacious. Can easily accommodate large groups. Would recommend this for anyone who’s looking for a homely place to stay in!

Manzaralı havuz, bahçe ve dağ manzarası sunan Cottage 2010, Matale'de Sri Dalada Maligawa'ya 17 km uzaklıkta yer almaktadır. I stayed here today with my friends. I booked the hotel for them and we traveled by car. So there was enough space for vehicles. You will get many facilities during your stay. Staff is 100% polite. Kitchen and equipment provided even they have a full board menu. Room was clean and equipped with everything we wanted. Night ambiance is awesome and the best of the best is the amazing pool. We stayed at the pool until 11 PM night since we couldn't leave the pool that was cool. Pool lights , clean water and the pool is covered from the garden fence so privacy around pool was enough for the girls. The person who catered us was very polite and very supportive. Even provided a mobile phone to contact room service.

I had a delightful stay. The room was lovely and views fantastic. What really made the stay were the staff. I stayed half board and the cook made fabulous food - the best I've had in Sri Lanka and the portions were huge! The manager was also great, picked me up from train, dropped me off at bus station and made sure I got on the right bus. And lovely Santi, waitress/cleaner was full of smiles . I am a solo female and I felt looked after by these lovely people. I 100% recommend and Id definitely return.
