The hosts were so friendly and helpful. The bedroom very clean and tidy and very well furnished to a high standard.The breakfast was good. Highly recommend.

Set 26 km from Greymouth Railway Station, Awatuna Sunset Lodge is a recently renovated 4-star accommodation in Hokitika, featuring a private beach area, a garden and private parking. Elisabeth and Selwyn are sharing their home with their guests. It’s not a hotel or just an accommodation it’s feels like being at home of a good friend! They offered a snack and a drink for sundowner and joined us for a talk. They served us excellent dinner. The best fish and chips we had so far! And Selwyn took us on a ride with his amphibious craft to the beach in order to enjoy the sunset. It was sooo much fun! And we never expected such a beautiful place. One of the most untouched, wild, loving and impressing places in NZ. Thanks to Elisabeth and Selwyn it was an unforgettable stay! Unfortunately we had to leave after one night. If you can stay at least for 2 nights!
