However, let me thank Sandrine and Laurent, the hosts, they are exceptional! Our luggages did not arrive with us but only 3 days later (thank you AirFrance...) and although we did some shopping, we did not want to produce waste by buying additional stuff we do not really need as we had everything in our luggage. Thus, Sandrine gave us literally everything: t-shirts, pants, masks, fins, sea-shoes, everything! We really appreciated this help as we had the impression we were at friends' place and this was definitely a relief after a 27-hour flight and no luggage! Thank you a lot for your great help, we will always remember you!

The setting is beautiful in a lush valley, surrounded by trees. The house was perfect for our family of 6 - it was impeccably clean, the kitchen was stocked with coffee etc, the beds were comfortable and the pool was an added bonus. I would highly recommend staying here while on Raiatea.

Guests at the bed and breakfast can enjoy snorkelling and canoeing nearby, or make the most of the garden. Everything was perfect, I very recommend if you want privacy, island experience and not big box hotel. Wooden cottage with terrace is very new and tasteful, room is spacious and modern bathroom is huge. We were met with fruit basket on the table and bananas came directly from the plants in front of our terrace. We had a tour of owner's certified organic permaculture garden! Every afternoon we kayaked to the motu (free kayak provided) in front of our fare and spent hours until sunset snorkeling and just enjoying complete solitude on white sand beach. Can't beat that! Manutea is great host, he recommended wonderful local hike to the top of the mountain to replace closed Mount Taipoi trail and always was very attentive, but respectful. Car is needed to reach supermarket or restaurant, but that was a plus for us and we very much enjoyed our stay.

The individual villas have private balconies that provide wonderful views as this property sits up the hill with expansive views. We loved having breakfast and happy hour on our balcony enjoying these exquisite views.
