Offering mountain views, A Tendinha - Guest House is an accommodation located in Peso da Régua, 1.1 km from Douro Museum and 14 km from Our Lady of Remedies Sanctuary. This guesthouse was very stylish and thoughtfully appointed. It had everything we needed and welcome glasses of port and sweets were provided. A nice touch. It was located on the first floor by a staircase above a very popular pasteleria which is where breakfast was served. This was one of the best breakfasts we have had and staff could not have been more helpful in ensuring we had everything we wanted during our 2 night stay. Car parking was very easy and convenient and free which was an added bonus. The guesthouse is also close to the train station We highly recommend A Tendinha to anyone staying in Peso da Regua who can manage a short flight of stairs.

The view was stunning. Fernanda was an exceptional host. Took care of all the small details and made us feel welcome.

Zimão Garden House is located in Vila Real, 30 km from Natur Waterpark, 31 km from Golf Course Vidago Palace, and 43 km from Douro Museum. Good coffee machine. Breakfast not provided, but fruit is and mineral water. Very helpful and friendly hosts. Kitchen is well equipped.

Offering a garden and river view, Stay at the Winemaker is located in Ervedosa do Douro, 32 km from Douro Museum and 33 km from Natur Waterpark. This is a beautiful place with a wonderful owner. Imagine living right in the winery! With breathtaking views of the vineyards and the Douro River. Martin is a wonderful host, very friendly. He taught us how to play a new board game, it was a lot of fun! We had dinner together and in the morning we had a lovely breakfast with an abundant selection of different local products. Martin also gave us a tour of the vineyard and winery and we tasted the wine he makes himself (delicious!). It was an unforgettable experience, thank you!

Casa do Arco by Douro Exclusive in São Cristóvão do Douro provides adults-only accommodation with a bar and a shared lounge. The property has an amazing view on the valley and river. Everything is so well thought of to welcome you in a peaceful environment for a relaxing stay!

Set within 4.6 km of Douro Museum and 10 km of Our Lady of Remedies Sanctuary, Golden Mirror features rooms with air conditioning and a private bathroom in Lamego. Absolute gem of the Douro Valley! My husband and I picked the Golden Mirror for the Douro portion of our honeymoon and we were so glad that we did! The rooms are spacious, clean and new and the view from our room was absolutely breath taking! The hosts of the hotel are so SO nice and helped us with parking every time we came back. The hotel is conveniently located about 5 minute drive from Regua and about 10 minute drive to Lamego - both had good options for dining. We did two wine tastings just down the road at Quinta da Pacheco and Quinta de Tourais - both were incredible and just a couple minutes from the hotel. Overall, this hotel is a 10/10! We hope to be back some day.

Located in Pala and only 42 km from Douro Museum, Portovella Lodges & Bungalows provides accommodation with river views, free WiFi and free private parking. Everything!!! our apartment was stunning! we had two separate bedrooms and a double sofa bed in the living room. the rooms were spotlessly clean! the pool is gorgeous and the views breathtaking. the breakfast is everything the other reviews said and more! one of our children is coeliac and they provided an excellent range of products that varied each morning… this was so important to us! we didn’t bring a car and we were able to arrange a taxi to the nearest supermarket for €35 return! This is a great option if you wish to get the train to Pala station which is only 5min walk from the property (but steep and stepped so not great for anyone with accessibility issues) and was wayyyy cheaper than €1400 we were quoted for a car for the week! The train runs from Porto.
