We were not aware that Casa das Obras was a 250 year old manor house. It has been sympathetically renovated with beautiful rooms, all with ensuite bathrooms. It has impressive reception areas, and multiple cosy rooms for relaxing. It was centrally heated and spotlessly clean. A magnificent buffet breakfast was included. For warmer weather it has a lovely garden with a swimming pool. The host was on site to greet us, and available throughout our stay for anything we required. We would not hesitate to stay again.

We came across this beautiful pension when we were looking for a place which is the closest to Serra da Estrela. The host gave us a warm welcome and our expectations were exceeded after arriving at this beautiful and lovely Quinta. Every detail about the interior in the entire pension made us feel cozy and welcoming there. We really enjoyed our stay there and the host was such a lovely and friendly local who really tries everything to make her guests feel like home. Every single morning she provided us with an enriched best breakfast buffet and the food was always fresh and clean. She didn't hesitate a single bit about being asked for anything and she even made the effort to store my birthday cake in her own fridge which we brought with us all the way to our destination. She even got out of her way to arrange with me and my fiancé a little birthday breakfast with our cake. We can't thank her enough for her support and help during our entire stay. We both really enjoyed our chats with her and we also appreciate her own recommendations about some places very much which turned out to be hidden local gems to us. We both really enjoyed our stay in that Quinta and we really highly recommend this place to anyone who plans a trip to Serra da Estrela.

With Parque Natural Serra da Estrela reachable in 24 km, Terrace Serra Hotel features accommodation, a restaurant, a garden, a bar and a shared lounge. Complimentary WiFi is available. A great stay, you would not believe how good can a night stay be. Newly furnished room very clean and spacious. The staff were very polite and helpful, and finally, a delicious breakfast served with a good atmosphere.

Featuring a terrace, Casa Mariolas offers rooms in Manteigas, 3500 metres from Manteigas Hot Springs and 9.3 km from SkiPark Manteigas. This guest house offers a shared lounge. Our stay in Casa Mariolas was perfect. Daniela is super-host, she cared for our comfortable stay and recommended us great trekkings (astonishing mountains!). Breakfast was regional. In the room we had big, comfortable bed. Very nice common space inside and outside and interesting gallery. Perfectly located near hiking trails but in the town, near the shop and restaurants.

Quinta do Quinto features a seasonal outdoor swimming pool, bar, a shared lounge and garden in Porto da Carne. There is a terrace and guests can make use of free WiFi and free private parking. Very peaceful and quiet, the location is perfect for nature getaway!

The house is very well located, clean and well maintained. The staff is great at accomodating our needs.

Located in the centre of Manteigas, Casa D’Avenida is a newly renovated family house, sited within the Serra da Estrela Natural Park. I arrived in a rather dishevelled state after a motorcycle accident on the mountain tracks. Josefa and her daughter were extremely helpful and provided icepacks for a swollen hand and ibuprofen gel as well as directions to the health centre. I ended up spending over a week here and was treated like family. I have never known such unconditional hospitality. They even let me leave my motorcycle at their house while I came back to the UK as I was unable to ride for 12 weeks. The accommodation comprises four rooms of which two have balconies. The breakfast provided was comprehensive with most things you could want. All areas of the accommodation were spotless and cleaned every day.
