The view from the rooms and from the breakfast terrace are unparalleled perhaps anywhere in the Mediterranean. If you get one of the sea facing rooms as we did, you will not want to leave. You wake up to a view of the Bay of Carthage with the Cape Bon peninsula stretching out in the distance. Just below is the view of the marina and to the left the famous Cafe des Delices. Its simply divine.

I rarely say a place is a hidden gem, but in this case it’s true. Anne & Mario are also the brains & heart behind the global brand Amarante parfums. Villa Edo is lovingly and tastefully designed. My room and the maison d’hote was out of an Elle decor magazine. Breakfasts were sumptuous. Conversations with local guests heart warming and opening. Normally at a bnb/hotel one makes small talk (I hate small talk), but here people shared their profound experiences. Come here if you’re a well travelled person, curious about the world and people. You will leave with many unexpected gifts including more beauty, joy, and peace.

At the bed and breakfast, units are equipped with bed linen and towels. The location is very central. The problem is that the medina is really empty after 7 PM. So keep that in mind when booking. The recommendation that the staff made for dinner was spot on.
