The owner was courteous and a pleasure to chat with throughout our stay.

Plenty of space for our dog to be with us and easy access to the outside. The room was clean, cozy, and well enough appointed to make you feel pampered. Comfortably bed. Clean, recently refreshed bathroom. They have several gathering places outside including a nice outdoor fireplace with lots of seating - hot logs on a cool night. Breakfast was certainly first class - Rich is a great chef. Kim is an informed host with the skinny on activities, restaurants, and what all. The lodge is on a quiet road close to everything - an easy walk to the beach and park area of Lake Lure. Top your day off with a home-baked cookie made fresh everyday.
