I enjoyed a terrific breakfast and the accommodations were quiet, peaceful and beautiful in every way. I would absolutely recommend this to my friends, family and anyone wishing to rest and recharge at the gorgeous Mountain Gem!

Goedehoop is situated in Welkom. The air-conditioned accommodation is 3.3 km from Ernest Oppenheimer Theatre. There is a sun terrace and guests can make use of free WiFi and free private parking. Exceptionally friendly and caring owners who become friends within an hour or two. The bedding, the shower, the coffee, filtered water, ice cubes and many more makes for a great stay. On a return trip I'll book well in advance to ensure a room. The owners owned a restaurant which they had to close due to the lockdowns but the are both experts in the kitchen so I'll make sure to book a supper next time.

Our hosts have thought about how to create a peaceful, welcoming space to stay, whether just passing through or as a destination vacation. Our room was spacious and very comfortable and we enjoyed the indoor outdoor flow. Dinner and breakfast were delicious. We watched the light fade sitting on comfortable chairs on the covered stoop.

Beautiful, all-new rooms with all-new accoutrements situated right on the river. Fast, stable Wifi. Extremely comfortable bed. Secure parking. They nail all the fine points. Doesn't get better than this anywhere near this price point. Amazingly gracious hosts who, learning of my history studies, helped me identify local sites of interest.
