Location to Central Station is fantastic. 10 minute walk to the heart of Amsterdam (Rembrandt Square or Nieumarkt). Spacious and clean boat. Sitting up top for a meal overlooking the water was phenomenal. Host was flexible with dropping luggage and check in/out. Not recommended for mobility impaired.

You get to have your own separate apartment so to say, the old Captains area. Upon entry you find the cozy living area with couch, two chairs and a vintage record player. Downstairs is the kitchen with fridge, dishwasher and enough utensils etc. Friendly little details provided by the hosts give it a very personal feel. the bedroom is a comfy bed for two and the window just above water level as well as the skylight with option cover makes for the true ship feeling. In the summer there is a small balcony with hammock upstairs. And the view of the harbor is very calming for us at least. The bathroom has a nice modern shower, the floor is such that it can be dried easily with the sweeper..All products were provided.

We had a wonderful 5 night stay at the Sailor Suite Coaster Mado! It was the perfect place to explore Amsterdam and the surrounding areas. Marieke and Sander are the best hosts ever!! The kitchen was stocked with plenty of coffee plus chocolate and wine and beer. Our hosts made several suggestions for local restaurants, all were great. They also directed us to the busses and trams we would need during our stay. The communication with our hosts was exceptional from the time of the initial booking.

First, our host was friendly and accommodating from the start! She advised us on parking, travel in and around city center, made sure we felt comfortable in every way. My family of 4 rented 2 cabins, we had everything we needed, and it felt very special. Every nook and cranny was clean, information sheet was helpful, coffee supplies, refrigerator, and sweet touches like flowers and extra blankets and towels!

The owner popped in a couple of times to check we had everything we needed. It's a walk to the nearest metro station or a taxi/bolt into town. Stayed in December, but I bet it's amazing in the summer! Would definitely recommend.

Asile Flottant is set within a friendly creative community with decent cafes and restaurants nearby. Welcoming and helpful hosts too. Amsterdam Centraal is a 25 min walk away via a 2 min free ferry ride, or 6 mins by bike : ). Our family of 4 had a great time and would definitely stay again.
