The location is unreal. The view of the farmland and valleys and volcanos in the distance is everything. We saw one of the best sunrises ever. Angus greeted us on arrival and it was clear how much pride he has in his land and how much he enjoys sharing it with others.

Situated in Hotwater Beach, 700 metres from Hot Water Beach and 10 km from Cathedral Cove, Adventurer's Chest - Taiwawe features spacious air-conditioned accommodation with a balcony and free WiFi. The house is absolutely gorgeous and so is the location right on Hot Water Beach. There is such a wide range of leisure equipment, which unfortunately we couldn't use at all due to the short time of our stay. Everything is in TOP condition. In the end we only used the paddles, but there would also have been kayaks, e-bikes and fishing equipment. Communication was good, but no personal contact. There are 2 cafés in the area - both very nice, but not always open. Be sure to buy groceries beforehand - there is nothing in the area...

Orchard Valley Glamping provides a hot tub and free private parking, and is within 12 km of Waitomo Glow Worm Caves. The property features lake views. I can’t think of a better way to describe this lovely place other than where simplicity meets extravagance. If I didn’t live 20 hours away, I’d be back here every other month to enjoy the lush rolling hills, the silly ducks that make for good company and the perfected attention to detail in the decor and functionality. I can’t recommend this location enough, we were close to most of the destinations we were going to visit and the town was simple but had what you needed. the hosts were kind, attentive and thoughtful and the entire experience was one to be grateful for.
