I loved everything! Was really upset that we had to go. We had an incredible stay, the shower was spectacular. You get to be surrounded by the nature at all times. Missing the little pup already!

Hacienda Rio Oro is a great place to take a day to rest after you get out from Corcovado. It's a glamping site, sitting in the back yard of what used to be a cattle ranch. It's completely isolated from anything else, a 45 minute walk to the nearest beach you can swim in, and about an hour drive from Puerto Jimenez. You can hear the hauling mankeys early in the morning. The staff is very welcoming and will gladly attend to all your needs. The food is different in every meal and is simply delicious. I recommend to take the kayak tour they offer which will take you to the lagoon located in their back yard (which is much much bigger than it sounds) and you can end the tour on an isolated, beautiful beach, looking at one of the best sunsets you'll see.

Absolutely beautiful place to stay! It was extremely clean and had a beautiful greenery surrounding the property. I loved how tasteful the decor was, from the furniture to the bed coverings! The Bathroom was so beautiful and I loved the shower. My favourite part was the fireplace which made everything more cozy. The service was also incredible. The hosts were always super quick to answer any questions and made us feel right at home. I would highly recommend this stay during your time at Monteverde!

What a beautiful place. We liked it so much we stayed another night. This is a bright and breezy cabina- no need for aircon, just open the windows and doors. As the cabins is high up you can leave the doors and windows open. Well equipped kitchen with very comfortable bed. Very clean and tidy. Fab sea views and pleasant garden. Great place for chilling out. Close to town with supermarkets and other amenities. Hans and his wife are friendly and very helpful, making our stay a very pleasant one. Highly recommended.
