Great camp and facilities!
You can watch hippos, baboons and crocodiles in the river just a few steps from the camp.
Magdy and his staff are very attentive and kind.
We also booked a game drive and we were very happy with our guide!
Would definitely stay there again!
Note if you arrive from Nairobi by rental car:
-make sure you rent a 4WD
-the fastest road to the camp is through the park on the C12 - entering at Sekenani Gate. However, the guards there didn't let us pass. They wanted us to pay the entrance fee and said
that we weren't allowed to pass for free (as we read in other reviews before). So we ended up taking "Simba Road" which was recommended by the locals in the village before the gate. Be aware that this road is very bumpy and ask for directions towards Talek. It goes around the park to Talek.
-do not take the C13/C14 from Narok!!
-when we left we were allowed to go through the park from Talek Gate. They gave us a ticket which is called "Transfer ticket" which is valid for two hours and is for free. So a ticket like this still exists, apparently it depends on the guard if they will give it to you or not!

Everything was perfect. The staff is really friendly, polite and caring for the guests. All staff, Simon, Willie, the chefs, Abdul and Mostafa.
The location is the best you can get, the animals come to the river everyday: elephants, giraffes, warthogs, leopards, crocodiles and hyppos. You can even just rest at the hotel and see them all.
They provide meals three times a day, with vegetarian options as well. They also pack the meals if you go for safari drives all day.
They have fast WiFi in the common areas, which is very handy. People can also take videocalls there.
The room was large, comfortable and very clean. The water is very hot in the shower. We will miss this place very much. Thank you Abdul & Mostafa for making us feel at home in every possible way.

The one-day safari arranged by the camp was truly excellent – we were lucky to see cheetahs, many lions doing different things, great bird life, hyenas and more. Driving through faint tracks in the grass is a great experience, too. Hikes up the local mountain and through the bush in the morning were a great delight – amidst friendly giraffes, zebras and monkeys. We were lucky to see a mongoose or two. The camp was also able to arrange last-minute transfers for us from Nairobi airport when other transportation failed to show up as well as transportation to Nakuru. Tents are comfortable at night, with temperature of 18-20C inside, hot water is good if intermittent, food is good.

We had a really fantastic stay here at this beautiful camp site. It was so relaxing being surrounded by nature and we also enjoyed the fire pit and watching the stars at night. The tent was also nicely decorated and comfortable. The hosts went above and beyond to help and make us feel comfortable. Can't wait to go back again!
Great place to stay! Very well maintained camp and eco friendly, I enjoy my stay at the camp. The staff were very welcoming and Magdy was always helpful and arranged a last minute game drive. The dinner and the packed breakfast/lunch was very good. The accommodation was very clean, hot shower and very quite at night. Nice place to stay to start your journey at Masai Mara.
This is an absolutely exceptional yet affordable camp. The accommodation was very clean, spacious and comfortable. The owners were extremely friendly and gracious. Staff was amazing and very accommodating. Fantastic food. Great location near the park gate. They can also arrange excellent game drives for a very reasonable price. Highly recommended.
The camp was very clean(the toilets too), the food was amazing, and the people working there were friendly and helpful. Magdy helped us with everything. He managed to find us partners for our game drives as we were on a budget. I think this is the best safari camp in the area. Value for money with perfect services and good people. I hope to come back again one day! Perfect stay next to the Mara.
