Conveniently set in the Ota Ward district of Tokyo, First Cabin Haneda Terminal 1 is located 500 metres from Tokyo International Airport Terminal No2 Observation Deck, 5.9 km from Omori Nori Museum and 6 km from Ota Stadium. This 2-star capsule hotel offers a 24-hour front desk. Uramori Inari Shrine is 6.6 km away and Miwa Itsukushima Shrine is 6.8 km from the capsule hotel.

The capsule was perfectly clean, the toilets too, they even had a spa (onsen) and all amenities were provided, including PJs. Perfect for one night's stay after arriving late at the airport. If your plane lands late and not at Terminal 1, you'll have to take a taxi to get to Terminal 1. I did that, and I didn't know where the entrance of the hotel at T1 was, and was momentarily stuck outside T1 at 1.30am in the morning. I called the hotel's number and they had thought I was not at the right terminal, however I walked a little bit and saw the sign to press the intercom button for the hotel staff to open the doors for me. The guy on the phone was really patient with me despite being a little lost in translation!

Looking for a capsule hotel?

Developed in Japan, these cheap “pod” hotels are a novelty for any traveler. With rows of small single bed enclosed capsules, accommodations are basic and intended to be overnight. There's separate storage for luggage and gender-separate communal bathrooms. Some capsule hotels also have a sentō – a Japanese bath house, usually for male guests only.

The best thing is cheap price, with decent quality. Very close to Haneda Airport. The shuttle is very convenient and run quite frequently. I used it many times to travel between Kawasaki station. Very useful when you got big luggage, since closest walk to train station is 10 mins, and sometimes windy. However, no shuttle from terminal3.

When you walk from JR Kawasaki Station towards La Cittadella, you'll find a capsule hotel tucked away towards the back. Inside, there's a large communal bath, an open-air bath, and a sauna, which I think is more than enough for a solo trip.

Great way to experience a Japanese Capsule hotel. Great value for money, and the communal Onsen was a real experience, and such a great spa. We used this after a late night flight in. Good location across the road from the Kawasaki Train station.

I booked this hotel before an early morning flight from Haneda. The staff on reception were friendly, and the room was bigger than the average hotel room in Tokyo. It was a very reasonable price for a one night stay. They offered a free shuttle to Haneda airport at different times in the day, which was very convenient. There is also a shuttle that takes you from the airport to the hotel too.

Love the industrial style of the room and it was very clean… decent size too for Japan hotels. Great view of the water. Staff really friendly. Could get a free shuttle from Haneda airport too which was very convenient.
