Picturesque Town on Iguazú Falls' Doorstep
Located 18 km from the Iguazú Falls UNESCO World Heritage Site, Puerto Iguazú is an Argentinean town situated near the Brazilian border, in the Province of Misiones. Its compact city centre is packed with restaurants, cafés and shops, while the area is well-known for its red soil and lush vegetation.
The stunning falls comprise 275 individual falls spread over 3 km between Argentina and Brazil. They have a maximum height of 80 metres and a water flow that can be three times superior to that of the Niagara Falls.
The Guaraní natives named the falls ‘iguazú’, meaning ‘big water’. The national park was founded in 1907, and some of the best hotels in Puerto Iguazú are located in the road linking the city centre to the falls. Some hotels on the Argentinean side of the waterfalls offer beautiful views.
The local bus station offers links to several long-distance destinations, including Rio de Janeiro and Buenos Aires. The city is served by Cataratas del Iguazú International Airport, while the Brazilian Foz do Iguaçu International Airport is 16 km away.

A vízesések látogatási infrastruktúrája(hidak, sétáló felületek, kisvonat, büfék, WC-k, lépcsök, akadály mentesitő rámpák kerekes székeknek stb) nagyon jól ki vannak építve, a vízesések látványa testközelböl látható, halható. Sajnos a fö atrakcióhoz az Ördög torkához mostanában nem lehet odajutni mert nagy a vízállás, veszélyes a megközelitése, le van zárva az odajutás. Ezt sajnos csak a bejáratim kasszánál közlik, az ember esetleg máskor utazna oda.
