We have always been so impressed with our stays at the Golden Age. Everything you need for a night or night’s stay is here - beautifully presented and spotlessly cleaned rooms, comfortable beds, friendly and helpful staff. The location is handy and opposite convenient food outlets and only a short walk/drive to Queanbeyan shops, cafes, etc, as well as a 15 minute or so drive into Canberra. Communication is also another strong aspect prior to with arrangements. Finally, room rates are most reasonable.
Just 5 minutes’ walk from Queanbeyan Train Station, Crest Motor Inn offers heated rooms with satellite TV, a refrigerator and tea and coffee making facilities. Free parking is available on site.

We were very comfortable and happy with it room and it was very quiet which was fabulous. We just thought maybe some glasses of some kind would have been great. We were very warm, the shower is wonderful, the beds beautiful and the lamps had globes. It was really great.

I stayed in Queanbeyan as an alternative to staying in Canberra where I had an appointment. Queanbeyan is a very pleasant city with good amenities, all facilities and in close proximity to Canberra. It is, in my opinion, more friendly and easier to get around.

Our first time visiting had us low in expectation for the most recent trip we had, but it seemed to be an entirely different town this time! Friendly locals, clean look, many food and stay options, family friendly and felt moderately safe. Leisure activities may have lacked, but Canberra is just next door, so that was no issue for us.
An overall pleasant town and worthy of visiting.

The place is very clean and the town is well looked after. Has great parks and fantastic walking paths. Everything is easy to get too.
Had dinner at the Tourist Hotel. This exceeded our expectations. Well worth going and trying the hot rock where you cook the meat yourself.
Easy place to get around.
Had breakfast both days at a Cafe over near Spotlight. The meals fantastic. Worth a visit. It looks like it is a family operated business.

Heat only heat I can put against this hotel is the shower.
Heat only heat I can put against this hotel is the shower. The shower is designed for short people and the shower head plastic parts have been damaged by the hot water. I love a warm shower, not too hot, and the heat available in the shower is in abundance which I reckon you could boil an egg.
I would come again though as this shower head, above described is not definately not a deterrent, just an idea for improvement, and it is good the feel like a giant just that once in a while.
Our room was spotless with quality linen. The value for money was exceptional, and the location perfect - the beautiful Queanbeyan River just across the road. A short walk to a great outdoor/ indoor Mexican restaurant overlooking the river with lots of happy people. Other restaurants are just a short walk over the bridge. It was a perfect stay for my daughter and me. I can highly recommend this motel. Check in and check out so easy. We will certainly book again.
When we arrived and relayed the story of our problems during our travels to Canberra the manager's first response was to provide us with a cold beer from his own fridge. If this is evidence of the way they treat their guests, we could not rate this property more highly. It's not the Hyatt Hotel, but it is clean, friendly, quiet and comfortable.
If you are looking for a place to stay in the Canberra area, you really need to look closely at the Grand Manor.
Jenny and Henry are very attentive hosts and I was so please with our previous stay that I gave an undertaking to return.
Although, it is a small motel, the friendliness and attentiveness of both Jenny and Henry was the most memorable part of the stay.
I arrived late on the train. My key was in the room as advised by staff prior to my arrival. A free continental breakfast was available should I needed it. I could walk to the Queanbeyan CBD and the Top Pub for meals was just across the street.
Absolutely everything. I can't recommend this property more highly, and price wise- it's matched up to the other properties in the area.
I can say this is the best Motel in Queanbeyan. I will be recommending it. I look forward to next time.
The room was very comfortable and unlike many other motels I've stayed in the beds where firm. For someone with a damaged spine this was great. The event we where there for was also just down the road within walking distance.
Lovely hosts, nothing too hard, convenient location among a variety of reasonable restaurants and cafes, quiet, none of the angst of Canberra hotels/motels, reasonable price, only nineteen minutes from the centre of Canberra.
The room was reasonably clean but this was definitely not up to the standards of previous 4 star motels we have stayed in. We were disappointed to have looked specifically for a four star place to stay and this was not.
easy to find, comfortable, felt safe, shared showers weren’t a problem, they are huge and for 2 people, everything you need is in the bathroom, no noise and pub had long hours, just love it
Comfortable clean room. Good size and comfortable bed. Good location. Relatively close to main streets in Queanbeyan and the Hotel Queanbeyan just 100 metres away with great food.
The most comfy bed in a motel we have ever slept on! We actually decided to stay another night because we were so well rested, with a puppy AND a One Year Old in the room with us!
Cheap and affordable room, with friendly staff. Pub downstairs had great food and the noise mostly did not carry to the room, despite facing the beer garden
