Very quiet room, and very comfortable bed, and pillow. I could sleep very well. Breakfast was small, but it was enough. Self check-in was perfect, because I could only come late at night.

For access Brig Bahnhoffplatz, you'd struggle to find anything this convenient and at this price point. Breakfast is in a spacious room on the 2nd floor affording views over the activities of the railways next door. Staff too are wonderful and incredibly welcoming anf helpful.
Brig is a pretty town surrounded by mountains. There are lots of restaurant options and shops and a sweet old town. There is a very striking Palace to visit and some lovely nearby walks, including one to a gorge. They have a local pool and a set of thermal pools a short bus ride away.

Great wee town.
Great wee town. The centre was beautiful, as were the surrounding views. We ate at a local wee German restaurant and they seemed surprised we never booked! getting around Brig was easy...just walk, it's not that big. We would have loved to have explored distant villages, but we had no personal transport. We'd come back and explore more.

Brig is a central town within the Rhone valley.
Brig is a central town within the Rhone valley. It represents a train junction both east to west and north to south allowing access to the cities of Bern & Milan. The town is quite and has a few shops and restaurants which only stay open for a short time in the evening. The centre of the town is car free so peaceful to walk around at night. Brig offers transport links by both bus and train to many of the ski resorts in the area. Be aware that travel by train to Zermatt to see the Matterhorn cost 150CF for two people. Drinks & food are expensive in the town but it is safe and pleasant to walk around. There are numerous walks along the river and into the hillside.

Good location in Switzerland, with direct trains from Zürich and Geneva airports and Basel SBB station (a bus goes from Basel airport to Basel SBB), just over an hour by train from Berne. Good hiking opportunities, for example from nearby Naters up to Blatten and further up to Belalp.

Honestly, there isn't much to do here.
Honestly, there isn't much to do here. I stayed here because it's where the Glacier Express ended. I would not recommend it at a destination but if you need a place to spend the night in this area, it is fine.
Breakfast was excellent - home-made muesli, home-made preserves and home-made bread as well as a selection of cheeses and cooked meats... The room was great - twice the size of most hotel rooms, with a view over the nearby castle towers and of the mountains (of course)! The location was great - only three minutes' walk from a choice of restaurants and five minutes from the main shopping and eating area of Brig.
The hotel is a little tired and dated but is good value for money and seemed very popular with the older traveller when we were there in September. The coffee and set lunches were the cheapest we had seen in the few days we had spent in Switzerland. The breakfast had all the usual basics of a breakfast buffet. The location was lovely with views of the hills and water and in a convenient part of town.
The hotel is located on a charming square only two blocks from the Brig Hbf. The restaurant served surprisingly good Italian food. The breakfast was not anything to write home about but it was ample. Brig itself has a small but wonderful Old Town with many outdoor restaurants and beautiful buildings to look at. It was nice to spend a night somewhere completely off the worn tourist track.
Sometimes I have to sleep over in Brig for work and I have stayed at Schlosshotel a few times now. The host is always very friendly and welcoming and even lets me check out a bit later when I need to. Rooms are clean and spacious, I have always stayed in nice rooms with a balcony with castle view. Breakfast is very good too!
Hotel is only 10 minutes walking from the train station
Location was only a couple blocks from the train station and Bahnhofstrasse where there are lots of shops and restaurants. The staff is professional and available for questions. The hotel has a restaurant serving typical Swiss cuisine and has a daily menu in addition to the regular menu. By Swiss standards it was reasonably priced and excellent.
Superb location in central Brig, close to the central Bahnhof and with easy access to the Via Rhona cycle path. Very nice staff. Superb breakfast. Locked cycle storage in underground velo room with some tools in the event you need to tune things. Nice model railway exhibit for group tours in the hotel.
This was a great location for reaching multiple areas in the mountains. Brig is also a great city to quietly relax after a day of sight seeing. You truly feel you are immersed in the culture. Patrick and his wife were very gracious hosts.
Staff were really friendly and helpful throughout our stay. The room was beautifully clean and the bed so comfy. Dinner was delicious as was breakfast. Location and public transport to the hotel was so easy. Definitely recommend
What a beautiful property with old world charm. You can tell the owners put a lot of thought into running this hotel as it works so wonderfully well. Perfect location across from the train station. Staff were excellent
The hotel is at the center of the city and has stores and restaurants around. 5 minutes walk to the train station. A tower electric fan was provided as the weather was hot. The staff was friendly and warm.
This family owned and run hotel provided us with a wonderfully warm welcome, a delightful room, and great food.
It is ideally located in Brig, for those travelling by train and keen to explore on foot.
The price was affordable, considering the cost of everything in Switzerland. The people there seemed nice, although we didn't have a lot of interaction as we stayed for only one night.
The location of hotel is close of center and train station, the breakfast was delicious, the receptionist is very nice person and the view for the mountains was lovely
Perfect location, very close to the train station. Breakfast was not included. We did nor use any of the hotel services so there is not much I can say.
