The best 2 days of my week vacation in Costa Rica. If you go with the mindset of adventure, disconnection from internet, camping style you will have a blast. This is a team of guys that do everything for you. They drive you , they cook , by the way excellent typical food, they are your rafting and adventures guides , the photographer, they eat with you and tell you stories and history of the place , the fauna , and flora etc, The experience is amazing ! Arturo , Fernando Negro and Jesus Andres were the best. Thanks for an amazing 2days
Pacuare River Lodge is a secluded property located amid the rainforest outside of Turrialba, accessible by 4x4 and raft.

The lodge is located on a beautiful property overlooking the Pacuare River. The owners Kirk and Joanna and all the staff were excellent. The facilities were very clean and well maintained. The rafting was superb with the best guide Bluche. Highly recommended by me.

This a brand new villa which is very beautiful but needs to have shampoo and a small kitchenette since there is no restaurant or any nearby. But the place is very relaxing and beautiful at the same time.

During my recent visit to the town, I found it to be an ideal spot for a short stay of a night or two. This allowed me to explore the local history related to the railroad, Afro-Caribbean culture on the Atlantic coast, and visit nearby attractions such as the Reventazón and Pacuare Rivers, as well as Barra del Colorado. For a delightful café experience, I recommend trying the pinto with scrambled eggs at La Castellana. Alternatively, you can enjoy a delicious meal at the Hoosana Food Garden, where various options can be ordered from their multiple windows.
The town of Siquirres is a mere 2-hour trip from San Jose. However, do keep in mind that the highway is currently under construction, and be cautious of regulated traffic through the Braulio Carrillo National Park.
