Set in the very lovely quiet area of Kolind, it is within a ten minute drive to the Aarhus Airport which, to our surprise, was incredibly quiet as well. Jane, the host, couldn't be any more welcoming if she tried. She was truly a high spirited host who very kindly offered us a drink when we arrived around 10pm on the evening we were checking in. [25th May] This is very much a basic but suitable bed and breakfast for short stays, due to there being no facilities in the room for coffee, but we had such a wonderful nights rest with a feather pillow and duvet, in a warm room, with a shared bathroom. Our flight was at 7am, well before breakfast unfortunately, but Jane's hosting really made up for the things this place did not have. Smoking is not allowed inside but directly outside the front door there is a bench and an ashtray, and being in such a quiet area I felt safe and comfortable. We do plan to come back to Kolind again and stop, but would likely see about bringing travel mugs and a portable travel kettle. Do not let the little things get in the way though, because the area is so quiet and peaceful, although Jane explained some shops are struggling due to the cost of living crisis and the pandemic did no favours to the scenic town at all. I'd say this is an ideal location for lone travellers, or couples etc. I was here with my mom, and our two friends were booked into the room next door. You have sufficient access to a tram into Aarhus, it's a short trip to the airport and is definitely value for money whether you have breakfast or not.

Spotlessly clean, quirky accommodation and very comfortable bed.

The bunk beds and the window cause it is up the top of the roof and you can see the town. Perfect for overnight, safe apartment to sleep the night, and get good sleep.

We stayed in an old building next to the castle with a rich history. A field marshal of the Danish army and later nuns lived here. It needs some renovation, but otherwise it is a unique place to stay with a soul. The whole complex, a castle and its surroundings, is beautiful and the atmosphere around it is peaceful and almost magical, with well preserved nature. We really enjoyed our stay and would like to come back.

Location and Parking

The idea is brilliant. Easy to find, easy to check in and check out. Perfect location to stay over night near by the Aarhus airport. 10mins drive distance. Clean and cozy, acceptable price. The only thing is you need to carry your luggage’s from the parking to the room about 50 meters.

Fully equipped kitchen, fully stocked fridge + immaculately clean bathroom, ginormous hallway with lots of information about the local area. Huge bedroom/lounge and dining area with desk area + large windows that look out onto a beautiful + expansive garden.

The rooms are big and bright. Kitchenette meets all needs. Parking near premises is easy.
