The hot swimming pool was fabulous! (But only open from 12-8 so can’t use it in the morning before leaving)

A fresh, modern and comfortable accommodation. Loved the way the shower was fully enclosed and didn't spray or leak water over the floor. Convenient supermarket across the road and a cafe that opened early at 6.00am just nearby.

Great location on the Camiño. Staff was very friendly and informative. Bed extremely comfortable. The shower was glorious. Couldn’t have asked for more.

Caldas de Reis is a beautiful, walkable village. There is a 30-minute walk to a waterfall that I wanted to take but it was too hot that afternoon. It was too hot to take advantage of the hot pools as well. It would have been nice to stay another day here, take a rest day. The restaurants looked really nice as well.

Caldas de Reis is a regular stop-over on the Camino Portuguese. The main square with palm trees is lovely. There are cafes and you can sit there have coffee and enjoy, I only made a one night stop so can't really say much more.

We only stayed in Caldas de Reis as we were walking the Camino Portugese. We saw lots of things that'd been nice to further explore if we'd had a couple of days there....river, historic buildings etc.
What a chic and beautiful hotel! It's in a historic building but with modern touches that make it exceedingly comfortable. George was incredibly helpful, from switching my room with no questions to making sure I placed my breakfast order on time, despite the fact that it was quite busy. He always had time to answer a question, and was very fun to chat with. The location, food, and overall experience were absolutely top-notch, and it was my favorite place to stay on the entire Camino Portuguese.
My wife said, "Every piece of furniture and decoration was chosen to make this space work really well for guests!" The pull out sofa bed looked brand new and was very comfortable. One of the bathrooms had a large bathtub. The views from the windows were pretty, and the plaza on which the hotel was located is gorgeous. Even more, the hosts were extremely helpful! I cannot imagine there is a better place to stay in Calda de Reis. My wife, three kids, and I were very pleased!
One of (if not the) most special places we’ve stayed! Every part of the hotel is unique, artfully curated, and well taken care of. Not to mention, the staff are all incredibly friendly and the food was amazing (best breakfast ever, amazing homemade bread and pastries every day). Can’t say enough good about the place.
The staff was great. Miguel, Maria and Jorge all went out of their way to make it a great experience. This was the nicest hour on my Camino, so I decided on an extra night. The hotel is fresh, clean and nicely designed. IIt is right off the Camino on a pedestrian street. Do, it’s very quiet. Nice breakfast.
Absolutely loved this gem of a hotel and would highly recommend it to anyone travelling to or through Caldas De Reis. Our host was very welcoming and encouraged us to use the facilities. This property is a short walk to the main centre of town and was very quiet at night.
After a long day walking the Hotel was a nice bonus. We got a foot and body massage on site (good), we enjoyed the huge pool (also good, specially before it got crowded from middle afternoon onwards). Staff super friendly, spa/massage services a plus, pool very nice.
Elegant and Quiet yet in town with great restaurants nearby. The owner, Victoria, is a delight. Comfortable bed and nice shower. Our favorite lodging over the past 10 days in Spain.
The hotel is very very clean and well appointed and luxurious; and the staff was wonderful! The location is centered in the old town in a historic building which adds to the charm.
Hotel Pousada Real was such a treat after walking 6 hours in the rain. Really clean and comfortable room and spaces. Friendly welcome greeting and warm hospitality.
Basic but very clean room. Super friendly owner who made me a nice sandwich. Next to the church of Caldas de Reis, so very centrally located. Ideal for a pilgrim.
