Really friendly staff. Clean but quirky rooms. Great value for money and very good rustical breakfast (Pan con Tomate, fresh orange juice, coffee, freshly sliced jamon and a local pastry). This will be my go to spot when you need to sleep after a long drive.

We stayed in the property for a night stop on our way to the south. Very comfortable location, comfortable and clean rooms, excellent staff and breakfast! All you needed for a good night sleep and stop to refresh and get some rest! I would go back!
The Palacio del Intendente offers free Wi-Fi access and an outdoor swimming pool. It is located half-way between Madrid and Seville, in the peaceful village of Guarromán.

Some secrets should not be kept and the Palacio del Intendente is one.
After the cathedrals of Sevilla, Granada, and Cordoba, the madding crowds thronging Granada’s Albaicín and the Judería of Córdoba, the filigree intricacies of the Alcazar of Sevilla and the Nasrid Palaces of Alhambra, to discover the essence of a humbler, more intimate every day Andalusia was a particular privilege. Squeezed out of Cordoba by the pushing and aimless mobs of tourists, we stopped an hour or so further up the Madrid road at Guarromán, and were delighted to have done so.
To stop was to arrive at a moment in which the late 18th century co-exists with the conveniences of a digital age. The Placio del Intendente is a royal post stopover of an earlier period, and the one-time home of a provincial governor. Now it is a hotel run by a man who has spent many years living in far-flung locales—from London to Lima to the coastal communities of the Gulf of Thailand—only to return to the Palacio, the very place of his birth (Room 5). He has given himself to continuing a particular type of hospitality in this, his familial home, bending the traditional to harmonize with his wide culture and experience.
The village also boasts an excellent restaurant, La Mezquita. Guarromán proved to be more than a stop on the road, but a lasting and pleasurable memory. What could be better than a soak in the Jaccuzi after an excellent meal?
Set in a historical 16th century building, Palacete Maria Rosa is a rustic-style hotel in Baños de la Encina, a small village 31 mi from Jaén. All the rooms feature air conditioning.

The breakfast was very good, nice bread, olive oil, tomato and jamon.
The location is a bit difficult for walking.
Our fourth visit to this hotel and it was a surprise to see that there had been improvements. Updated furniture in the bedrooms and digital locks for better security. Staff were again helpful and good to see some who were there the first time we stayed in 2018. Accommodation good, we didn't take breakfast, but enjoyed an early dinner in the bar area as the main restaurant doesn't open until 20.30hrs, which we felt was too late.
Wonderful Hotel. Real value for money. Beautiful building and grounds with courtyard inside. Peaceful. Great being able to walk from one's garage directly into one's room. Walking distance to La Carolina. We didn't try the restaurant as they started serving late, but the breakfast was excellent.
Very seldom we rate 10, but this time in all honesty our stay in La Perdiz Hotel well deserves mark 10.
Excellent location.
Fabulous property. Stunning design.
Excellent rooms and restaurant with delicious food.
Room with en-suite garage - what a great combination.
Great value for money.
This is a fabulous hotel setting the same high standards for over 30 years , always a joy to stay here ,
The professionalism & politeness of all the staff is to be seen to be believed , it’s a very Spanish hotel always spotlessly clean & just a joy to stay .
The location was easy to find being very near the motorway which was ideal as a stopover. The hotel is impressive and overall had a good ‘feel’. Restaurant meal in the evening was excellent.
A very rustic feel about the hotel very different you even have your own garage and a patio to your room , great stop over just off motorway, breakfast good
