Slightly mixed experience. But let's start with the strengths. The hotel is located in excellent accessibility to the city center, but at the same time on a fairly quiet street. So if you are lucky with your neighbors, you will relax and sleep in complete silence. In fact, this is one of the valuable properties of hotels located in the center of large cities. The continental breakfast doesn't offer a lot of variety between days, but it's varied enough to comfortably serve several days in a row. The hotel itself is obviously not new. One can feel a slight “fatigue” of the interior. The rooms are small (at least we got one). But the rooms themselves are clean, excellent mattresses and pillows, and a bathroom without any complaints. In general, we can recommend the hotel, especially to those who love comfort and silence and are willing to not pay attention to the little things.
This elegant hotel is centrally located 20 minutes' walk from Zaragoza's Old Town and features an impressive marble lobby with permanent art exhibitions.

Zaragoza is a great City to visit.
Two days are enough to see all.
If you are staying longer, consider hiring a car and undertaking a day trip north to Alquezar for one day and south to the 'Monasterio de Piedra' on another.

Lovely Islamic-era palace, though probably not as impressive as those further south, which I've yet to visit. Interesting Roman ruins. Views of old Zaragotha are great if you cross the bridge to the more modern half of the city.
Not too touristy; some good and reasonably-priced cafes and restaurants and mouth-watering food market.
Running out of things to do after than 2-3 days - though it's not a bad place to sit in a square and read.

I spent three days in Zaragoza and there was plenty to do.
The historic buildings are outstanding, especially the Basilica, which I found myself visiting again and again. It's scale and grandeur are truly remarkable. There's a very large park which is beautiful and varied, and connected to the park is an extensive forest with nature trails.....great for walking adventures.
I'd recommend visiting in mid March as the city celebrates the french siege of 1808 with a spectacular reenactment in the streets.
The zaragozans are such nice friendly people and the evening city life is wonderful.
I've been to several Spanish cities and Zaragoza is my favourite.

Zaragoza is a beautiful city, but the strong and constant wind makes the place colder than it could be. It is not exactly a touristic city, but it is worth a short stay to visit Aljaferia and the wonderful churchs. The resataurant Flor de Liz in the old center was an incredible experience.

Zaragoza is a beautiful city with great history. 2 full days was PLENTY of time there I think. Be sure to buy tickets for the Aljafería Palace in advance if you want to see it. Also, if there are specific restaurants you want to try, be sure to make reservations ahead of time. I recommend el fuelle for the food and the experience.

There are some historic sights, like parts of Moorish palace...
There are some historic sights, like parts of Moorish palace, a cathedral, Roman ruins, art museum with Goya, historic and huge food market. Several famous and attractive buildings for churches, museums, to sum up. City very affordable, with many restaurants and markets near our hotel. Our favorite area was that area near the historic food market, near El Pilar church, around Hotel Catalonia El Pilar hotel and NH Hotel, among other hotels in that area.
Uber and other cab services are here. Buses and trams here close to our hotel but we have not used.
I have read, however, that summer is very hot, and we are here in late October and early November.
This is the worst accomodation in all of Spain and possibly all of Europe. It would be better to be homeless than stay here, it is a shame and an embarrassment to Spain that this place exists.
The staff are the worst possible people. If you want to be treated like a slave who is absolutely worthless than stay here becuase the staff are that bad. They do not care how poorly they treat you or how unhappy you are. The other reviews of this place show the exact same thing.
Save your money and sleep on the street rather than this place.
The Reception staff were very informative and helpful. The room wax very comfortable and with a fridge. We also loved hearing the cathedral bells.
Everything was straightforward and easy, so much so that we enquired about staying another time later in the year.
Thank you for helping us to have a great start to our Road trip adventure of northern Spain and what a great city Zaragoza is!
Hotel Avenida is very accomodating with my request. Great place! So close to the center and the staffs were quite very helpful whenever I needed some recommendations on foods to try, things to do, places (bars, restaurants) to visit, etc. I'd love to stay here again, for sure. My trip to Zaragoza was fantastic! Part of it because of how warm the management of Hotel Avenida is.
The location was good for seeing local landmarks. Facilities were adequate for our one night stop over. Unlike most of Southern Spain, Zaragoza in the north didn't actually seem to come alive until 7pm and then by 10pm the city went to sleep. Lots of lovely small tapas bars down narrow streets and the church lit up in the dark made the whole night very enjoyable.
The hotel appears to be new and exceptionally clean. Our room was large, comfy, and pleasantly warm; the bed was fantastic!
The breakfast was also fantastic, and they offer a superb red wine at the bar. It left one of the best impressions of Zaragoza on me—I had a really relaxing time there.
And, by the way, their swag looks pretty cool too!
Fantastic apartment with great views to the Basilica del Pilar, instantly relaxing spot.
A wonderful place to stay in one of the most beautiful cities in Spain.
The host was super helpful, friendly and attempted to accommodate.
You can't beat the location 10n. Very clean and tidy.
Thanks so so much.
Hotel was clean and quiet. Hotel staff was very professional and spoke English. Parking garage was secure and on site. 7 min. walk to Aljaferia Palace and 30 minute walk to center of town. Bus #34 easy to take to/from center. McDonalds next door. Also grocery store next to McDonalds.
The property was beautiful, a hidden gem in Zaragoza. We had a lovely evening meal and breakfast. Dog friendly with large grounds to walk our dog. We often stop in Zaragoza on our way to southern Spain and will definitely be booking to stay here again.
Our room was on the top floor and had a view. WE greatly appreciated that. It was our first time in the beautiful Zaragoza. We landed when the festival of the Virgin of Pilar began. It was awesome. The hotel was a terrific location.
Charming Hotel but seems to be old in some aspects. Need to be updated for sure. Good relation beetween price and service to stay one night mooving from one city to other in Spain. We can have the parking for additional 12 EUR/night.
We stay here at least twice a year...The staff are always helpful and cheerful despite being very busy and sometimes short staffed ..We are very happy to have found this accommodation on our way to southern Spain ..
Everything was very clean and freshly disinfected every day. They sure care about their guests health in the pandemic. Good choice of breakfast. Very good value for money with parking included
Very handy location when needing a break travelling from North to South East Spain. Last time we booked a place n the middle of Zaragoza and navigating and parking a big SUV was not fun.
Wonderful!!! This will be our "Zaragoza" hotel. Location is perfect... could not get a better location. Rooms very big. Indoor and outdoor pool very nice. Top!! Can't wait to return!!!
