The room was ok. The most important thing for me is cleansing of the room and it was clean and comfy.
Breakfast could have more options.
The lady in the reception don't know the english very well but, she was so friendly, understanding and helpful and we could communicate thanks to google translate :)

Comfortable, charming, and sweet accommodation in a great location. The proximity to the train is amazing as it is just a few steps away from the platform and yet the room is quiet and super easy to navigate. The cafe is delightful, breakfast is lovely, coffee is solid, and the gift shop is great with local items and handicrafts. Definitely the best place to stay in Kemi.

The property is located an easy walk from Kemi train station - it's basically a decent-sized independent unit in the back garden of a hotel. I made use of the kitchen in the unit - well stocked with the basics, with a grocery store 300 m away. Having access to the sauna in the main building was a great bonus.
This apartment features free private parking and an elevator. The accommodation offers a shuttle service, while a bicycle rental service is also available.

Super location, right in the middle of the city. Few minutes walk from the train station and easy to find. Check-in instructions were clear and everything went smoothly.
The apartment was cozy and pleasant. Kitchen was well equipped and the bed very comfortable. Absolutely lovely place to stay.
Small town by the sea. The icebreaker, SAMPO, is the attraction of the town. If you are not interested in sailing in the iced sea, walking on the iced sea and floating in the sea, you needn't come here.
I bought some pretty clothes in a small shop in Kemi. How happy!

We wanted to go tour with Icebreaker but it was out of commission.
Also no snow castle this year. That's what we expected from this winter trip, but unfortunately we were out from luck this time. We did not find anything else special there to do at this short notice. Maybe there's something in the summer time.

Great place for a short stay, in reality even looks better than in a hotel photos. Flexible check in and check out. We had a one night with our furry friend. I would definitely recommend this clean, tidy and welcoming hotel.

We stayed just 1 night in Kemi whilst travelling through, but the quick impression was cute. It's a rather small town with wide open streets and rather low houses. The seaside offers a beautiful promenade with some cafés and places to eat out. Next to the promenade are traditional red wood houses, very cute scenery. There's a church with extraordinary pink walls. Around Kemi's center is an industrial area. At night, it didn't really get dark but stayed dawny. Surely nice to visit, still, we can't say much more to the town.

We have stayed in kemi many times-this time we decided to stay in an apartment which had excellent cooking facilities-we ate at friends as well.
For people without a car Kemi has very good bus@train connections with Sweden(bus),Oulu/Tampere/Helsinki-train.Being a small town everything you need is within 10 minutes(elderly)walking distance.
We did notice the town hall does not clear the footpaths by the sea at weekends-they obviously think tourists only sightsee during the week.
For the most stunning view of the frozen winter sea visit Kemi swimming pool-swim.sauna relax please note rules apply for sauna area.

Compact and historic city.
Compact and historic city. On top of the high city hall you can view the whole city. Part of the city hall existed during second world war and the Germans tried to demolish it - unsuccessfully. There's also the neo-gothic cathedral and nice harbor area.
Roads in the city may be confusing at times, with unclear lanes, one-way streets and uncontrolled intersections.
Had a great stay at Puttiikihotelli! Very nice interior, easy self check-in and even though I had a group room it really felt like I was sleeping in a hotel. Calm but cozy vibe and the staff was super nice. The included breakfast was extensive and I even got yoghurt instead of porridge (not a fan) which was really delicious. Also they were OK with me checking out later than normal because my train left in the afternoon.
very easy location right off the train line . having never been to Helsinki before my family and I had no problem navigating from the airport to the hotel via train. check in easy, restaurant at hotel was great, in fact we had the best salmon soup we had during our entire 10 day stay in Finland ( which is saying a lot since it appears to be a Finnish staple). history of hotel was fun to learn about .
Kristiina was really lovely. She sent me a message with useful information prior to my arrival, and she was there to help with anything you might need. The room was very clean and nice. We also enjoyed the breakfest and the coffee in the hotel's restaurant. We stopped twice in 2 weeks during our vacation to Lapland, and we will for sure come again during our next visit in the area.
My hotel room was clean and had everything I needed. I had a good night's sleep because the bed, duvet and pillow were very good. Peaceful and quiet. Spacious sauna. I was able to enjoy the warmth of the sauna by myself even on the public shift. The communal kitchen had cutlery etc. for meals. Cooking could have been done to some extent too, if needed. I can recommend Toivola!
Beautiful view even when it's cloudy or dark. Great Great breakfast , but be careful they sometimes do not serve it on Sundays 😱😱 !
So double check with them first because for the price you can not get a lunch bag for breakfast .
Snow castle included ,but this year it's not open so they only have a small indoor one . Funny but for 10mn Max.
Of course the glass villa concept
Lovely clean room with bunk beds, we booked a cheaper room with shared bathroom, the bathrooms were clean and easy to access....free coffee/tea, and a snooker table. Perfect location near park/sea, we walked to the snow castle, we got taken away pizza and ate in friendly dining room. Perfect stay for our family, our 12 yr old loved it. I would recommend.
Nice hostel in the heart of Kemi, it wasn't my first stay. Doors (outside and for rooms) have codes, so you don't need a key. Rooms offer enough space, cupboard, own fridge. Bathroom/shower/toilet down the hall. Kitchen in the basement, common room with coffee/tea, billard table etc. on first floor. Free wifi. Friendly staff

I made use of the kitchen in the unit - well stocked with the basics, with a grocery store 300 m away. Having access to the sauna in the main building was a great bonus.
The hosts were warm and wonderful. It was like meeting up with an old friend. The view to the forest from our window was magical with snow-filled trees. We called to say we would arrive late and they waited for us. They also made the buffet breakfast available for an extra 30 minutes. Delicious meatballs!
Practical and quiet accommodation in the outskirts of Kemi. This place is located in a converted office building and serves not only travellers, but also seasonal workers. Equipped with community kitchen and microwave and waterkettle in the room. Clean, good Wifi, free parking. Overall good value.
Wonderful location close to Snow Castle and the town centre. The villa was easy to access and the management left clear instructions for everything. A bonus was the NYE fireworks going from the park access from the villa so I could watch them without getting cold.
I liked the cleanliness and that there was coffee/tea/cocoa available in the lobby for hotel guests. Would have been excellent to stay with the family and do some cooking by ourselves. Also shops and even a pharmacy close by.
Got a nice, clean and quiet room with everything I need for a pleasant stay: wireless internet, TV, a fridge and a water kettle. I also appreciated the free coffee in the restaurant and the hotel's very friendly staff.
the cabins are amazing, little
kitchen very functional and the sauna, come one, it is a super privilege… you can jump from it to the snow and backwards anytime 😅
