Collioure is an absolutely beautiful coastal French small city, not far north of the Spanish border. As such, it comfortably merges French and Catalan culture which enhances its allure as a tourist destination. As an example, we had tapas on three of our seven nights in Collioure. We also food shopped at a number of local markets, which provided a selection of amazing cheeses, wine, bread, and Spanish hams. The beaches are typical Mediterranean rocky, but the water is gloriously clean and clear.

Very nice little village at the sea.
Very nice little village at the sea. Several beaches, lot of restaurants and shops. Very Catalan, close to the Spanish border. Easy to get around, just walking. Possibility to rent bikes, take a boat trip and a lot more. Nice food with a touch of Spain (Catalan) some regional wines an several winerys to visit. The wine is kind of mineral to taste, not the greatest area in France for wine, but ok.

Once you are in the town and parked then there's no need to go anywhere else for a while. There are plenty of restaurants, a great art museum, good local walks, good beaches and it is neither loud nor too large.

Friends had told us how lovely this beach town is, so we decided to stay a couple days. The town is charming with lovely seaside pebble beaches. The old section of town has many cafes and fine dining restaurants from which to choose.
Walking is the best mode of transportation. Driving isn't necessary. Once we arrived, we parked the care and didn't use it again until we left.

Collioure is the most beautiful old fishing village, that has also played host to artists like Matisse, Picasso and Rennie MacIntosh. The beaches are a great base for snorkelling, though some sort of water shoe would be recommended as it is stony not sandy.
There is no shortage of places to eat, though we found ourselves often at Cafe Sole for drinks and tapas. Do remember this is a bar that stays open all year round, and do not be offended if the patron appears to favour his regulars over tourists - they are his year round income, tourists are a 2 month boost. He is a pleasant guy with excellent english.
Collioure is a place to walk. Parking is not easy, far better to arrive by train.
I wanted a stopover in Collioure after a flight back from the US where I could totally relax. the Jasmin was it! The apartment with a private terrace was ideal for me and my 3 Kg Yorkie to feel at home. it was a very easy walk to the main streets of Collieure, yet it was always quiet. A small kitchen was stocked with coffee and all that was needed for quick meals and snacks. plus a garden next door for fresh tomatoes! I was picked up and delivered back to the train station by the hosts. I slept like a baby in my near sound-proof abode.
Our room next to reception was more like a mini suite with shower room & WC a couple of steps down from the main room.
Plenty of space with eye catching decor in all the rooms we were able to see.
Breakfast was 3* but plentiful and fresh. Nice coffee!
The service was exceptional, I heard that the hotel group recruits from ex Air France cabin staff-they all appear to have been business/first class trained as their customer service skills are rarely found these days even in establishments charging much higher prices.
The apartment was as described so no surprises. It was perfectly adequate and comfortable for two of us to spend a long weekend in lovely Collioure.
Bed comfortable. All the facilities worked fine. Is about 15 mins walk from the historic centre and 10 mins from the nearest beach. Parking in Collioure is a nightmare so having parking on site a real advantage. There is a partial view of the iconic clock tower, old town and the sea and a nice view of the windmill.
Room was very small. Door lock was broken but lockable with a key. Room safe was broken. Very odd access to the hotel through the bar or around to a back street and through the office. I really barely figured it out over 2 days. Great location! Price was not cheap despite the limitations. However, Collioure is not cheap in general. Rate this as a 2STAR at best. I would look elsewhere next visit. Noel Ottawa Canada 2022-Sept-22
I stay here regularly. The hotel is quite tight for space, but the small inconveniences are far outweighed by the things La Fregate has to offer. It's comfortable, the staff are excellent, friendly and helpful. The hotel is in the best spot in Collioure. It's in an unrivalled position right by the Royal Palace and the seafront.
Good communication and information from the host before arrival. Easy code access. Very clean. New, modern furnishings. Our suite (Les Voiles) had a big terrace. A nice surprise of croissants left on our door for breakfast. The suites are a short walk to all Collioure has to offer.
The apartment is exactly as described. It is clean, comfortable and well equipped. It is a few minutes walk from the train station, the town centre and the beach. Collioure is a gem of a town even in mid winter. Richard the host is welcoming and helpful
Extremely friendly English-speaking staff. Beautiful hotel in a stunning seaside village. Parking is very tight/difficult but doable if your vehicle is not too large. Within a short walk of everything you could possibly want to see. Do not miss!!!
We were very late getting to the facility because our train was late ...No receptionist...no one answered telephone calls...and we had to go to another hotel .
Very inconvenient...and poor management!
Never recommend this place 👎🏾
This was an exquisite spot and we were sorry to stay there only one night. We loved the art all around the hotel and the town. The staff was very friendly and the food was phenomenal.
The hotel is totally charming. The location could not be better and the setting is a cool and beautiful oasis. Breakfast on the patio was delicious. And the staff were lovely.
The studio is well located in a quiet neighborhood of Collioure and the host was very kind, helpful and friendly it was very comfy we had a pleasant stay I really recommend it!
