There's lots to explore in Saint-Nazaire.
There's lots to explore in Saint-Nazaire. I took four tours in one day visiting the Chantier de l'Atlantique (shipyard), Nazi submarine base, French submarine Espadon and Escal'Atlantic cruise ship experience. All excellent. One or two more days would have been welcome.
Book early - I missed out on the harbour visit and Airbus.
The historic sites are close to the city centre for lunch - facilities on site are limited.

As we only stayed for one night we did not see much of Saint-Nazaire. The bit we did see was good, a wonderful sea front with restaurants, the beach was looked after very well and raked in the morning.

The beach and bar area was lovely.
The beach and bar area was lovely. The shopping precint and cinema is next to the hotel. We went to visit the old U-Boat pens and museum which were very accessible. Our room over looked the pens. You can walk around the old pens and there is rooftop access on top of the pens and fortified lock so you get a panoramic view from both sides of the harbour. The submarine visit in the museum is excellent.

Where the apartment is, is a little seaside resort that has a number of restaurants and bars that cater for everyone. There are a few shops and one supermarket all in close proximity. The beaches are safe, clean and just beautiful.
The sites in Saint Nazaire are approx a 15-20 minute drive and are worth a visit.

The port area was very interesting and the walks along the beach front were great. There were lots of beaches with plenty of room for everyone.
There was a lot to see along the coast. The historic fortresses etc were of interest as were the several art installations, especially the sea serpent at St Brevin.
Friendly staff, very accommodating, room was clean, maybe the decor needs updating but otherwise very functional.
Good shower and well laid out breakfast. Not a luxury hotel so do not expect the Four Seasons... but very good for what you are paying for and very good location near a public carpark which is free from 19:00Hrs till 08:00 Hrs and you get one hour free so effectively free from 6pm till 8am, also loved the fact that they supported the homeless during the Lockdown for Covid-19. Worth the stay to support them.
I Didn’t use the breakfast facility I tend to use some of the local cafes in the adjacent Ruban Bleu shopping Precinct. I have stayed here before a few times and only use it to sleep as I am out all other hours. It is very sparse and tired in appearance but in all fairness I could n’t have afforded 10 nights at any other local hotel. So as long as the visitor bears all this in mind, it is passable. Lots of Eastern European Shipyard workers so it can get noisy.
Great place! right across the street from the German U-boat bunker base used during WW2. I loved the hotel, the staff were really great and very accommodating. They actually had eggs for breakfast which is very unusual in France. Though they put way too much milk in the scrambled eggs, it was like a soup at times, they need to be trained on how to make it correctly.
Great place would stay again if I had to.
Reception was excellent, we were a bit early but this was no problem. We had secure parking in a garage behind hotel which easily took our four large motorcycles. The rooms were spacious and clean and the shower / toilets clean and working order. Location very handy, 10 mins walk to submarine pens and the waterside bars / restaurants.
The reception is great. Always good informed and they gave as great recommendations for restaurants. Although the hotel is direct between bus- and train-station it is really quiet. Parking is close and cheap. Very good fish-restaurants on the beach-side of the city.
Well, there is absolutely no better location on the beach in this part of Brittany! My room was spacious enough and access to everything in the hotel was easy. The location again, location, location, location. On a scale of value from 1-10 … it’s a 12!
Friendly staff, nice breakfast, easy check in, clean hotel with good size rooms.
I travelled with 3 friends on motorbikes and it was great to have a secure underground car park which was easy to access.
The room was very clean, the bed was very confortable. Simple hotel room but with all things needed. The location was good, it is a bit far from the center but next to a bus stop so it is easy to reach.
Very clean and spacious hotel. Bathroom is large. They have a secure garage for bicycle. Walkable distance to several places to eat within 1 to 2 blocks. Walking distance to Gare Saint Nazaire
This hotel was ok for our one night stay. The place has the basics one needs and it is clean. Note that the hotel does not list any stars and so expect a basic and clean room.
amazing historical location right on the beach. beautiful natural paths over the cliffs right out of the hotel for a walk. the sound of the crashing waves from our room.
this is my best stay ever since all my booking reservation. I have my best time in Saint Nazaire thanks to this: the quality, the ambiance, everything is just perfect.
The private terrace is why we booked this hotel and it was amazing, gorgeous views and spacious with a table and chairs and sun loungers with an umbrella.
